Did we have a patch on Wed? There are no notes on the Main Forum about a new patch. I've been watching this problem and today I am going to be going into my dynasty with Kale and having him start on his friends part. But I'm stumped on the patch part now.

@sdhoey, I don't know what patch they're talking about either. The last patch I got was on July 9.

Right, the last patch was the one for half-walls and in preparation for Spa Day. Nothing has come out since, though I really hope they fix this impartial bug.

I'm glad you clarified that because when I started up my game today...I didn't get a patch and though something was wrong! I'm definitely patched to last patch and that was July 9. Anyway... impartial bug is still in full force and is marked as 'solved' on the EA bug thread.  :( I left a post asking for the 'solved' status to be removed as player-workarounds do not equal a coding solution.

I may be hallucinating or just catching up with the new gaming computer I bought myself for my birthday.  But, when I started Sims 4 I got an update and the friend situation has improved, probably because I'm practicing for a challenge and trying to avoid gratuitous travelling.

Just logged in to Origin to play and got an update.  After the update there was a message saying they found some games that need repair.  So I clicked and ok'd the repair.  Let's hope I haven't lost my dynasty data and that the friends thing is fixed!!

I don't want to join the bandwagon, but I got the friendship bug too - my founder never became Good Friends with one of Malcolm Landgraab's girlfriends, his first, Arabella Stump. The game said they were impartial even with the green bar filled 80% so I counted it - it wasn't an official Dynasty.

I think the bug only affects homeless townies - Cassandra Goth and Liberty Lee become Good Friends easily with my founder, so pre-placed Sims aren't hit with the bug. I dunno, I may need to see if any other pre-mades get the bug.

In the meantime, I suggest you show the green bar to the mods to prove they are at the requirements for Good Friends and hope EA puts out another patch soon. Maybe we should spam their mailboxes to full with this complaint to alert them that there is a problem...  :(

On the bright side, I think the cooking bug is fixed. I haven't had a case of dropped cooking actions since the patch.
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

If you are on vacation camping, can you add new items, such as the dishwasher to the cabins or does this come under "Editing any lot other than your lot (home + retail) is banned, except for putting tombstones in substitute cemeteries."

No, you can't add dishwasher to the cabins.  Anytime you have to go into build/buy mode, its consider editing.

Thank you.  However, if you can carry it in inventory you can place/use it on a lot other than your own, right?  Also, wanted to put my spouses remains at the Hermit's house but it's not listed as an ok place.  Would it be ok?  It was one of his favorite places.  Also, what about the hidden grottos etc?

Yes correct.

I believe remains can be carry in inventory right?  You can move the remains out to the lot without going into build/buy mode, yes?

Yes, but the official rules only allow for your lot, your inventory, parks in Oasis and Willow, so thought I'd double check.

I don't have a problem with you leaving the remains in hermit's house.  Let's see what other team members say about this.

I am fine with remains being placed at the Hermit's House.
