Colour wheel! Colour wheel! Colour wheel! Don't get me wrong, I love the hair and clothes and furniture and wallpaper in TS4 but it would be so much more awesim if I could colour-code my rooms and outfits better! And I'm no good at creating CC so trying to do it myself just wouldn't work!

Swimming in the ocean or the rivers etc. I keep looking at the gorgeous beach on the island in Windenburg and really wish my sim could swim there.

Yes!!!!! This is the thing that I miss the most in Sims 4. My  immortals museum rooms aren't color coded and it irks me to no end.

I'm also missing the Young Again potion :-( my test sim for the New Year's Resolution Tournament Challenge only completed it on her elder birthday so I didn't even have time for her to have a kid or anything :-( but it's ok, she adopted and married her sweetheart (who incidentally also aged up to an elder that day lol) I guess I could de-age them in CAS but that just seems like cheating and I try not to do that (especially not for big things)

I miss not having the option to have something on a foundation or not. Just because I want my house on a foundation doesn't mean I want the shed in the backyard on a foundation also.

Unlike a lot of people, Supernatural didn't really appeal to me. I preferred regular Sims and usually had vampires turned off because they just annoyed me.

I would like toddlers back, I had a lot of fun with them. I suppose I could live without them, but I enjoyed them a lot in Sims 3.

It'd be cool to bring back skills like pottery and sewing from Freetime, where they were used as talent badges. Flower arranging would be nice, I think from Open for Business? It would give more use for the flowers Sims can grow with the gardening skill. More complicated bouquets offer higher environment bonuses, maybe emotion bonuses, and require higher skill and rarer plants, like the orchid. A death flower bouquet would be interesting! It'd be nice to be able to put them in vases and gift them to other sims. That being said, I think a gifting system like in Sims 3 would be cool!

Some more toys and stuff that can be kept in Sims' inventories would be nice. Hula hoops, jump ropes, baseballs, footballs, boom boxes... Some of those are from Sims 3.

And I loved pets, I would really like them back. I'd like to see how their version of CAS works in Sims 4. Dogs and cats, mainly. I loved horses, too, but I'd be okay if they didn't make it into Sims 4. And minor pets like turtles, snakes, hamsters, birds, all that good stuff. I imagine that'll be coming at some point, I don't think that would be left out of this generation of Sims.

Not to mention the fences! I hate fences on foundations!

I miss the more family orientated play from Sims 3, it was my favourite part of the game!

Supernatural/magic, sci-fi (aliens, robots), and the romance/attraction system. Actually Sims 2 had the best romance/attraction system but after a few expansions Sims 3 had a pretty good one too.

Supernatural, University Life, and Into the Future are my favorite Sims 3 expansions. The groups from University Life and social networking added a lot of depth and charm.

I have been wishing for the sims 2 type of attraction. Really liked that certain Sims preferred other sims. That is probably what I would love to see back the most!!!
Other things I miss are toddlers, college, spiral staircases, and pyramids/exploring.
I did like being able to recolor items and enjoyed the color wheel ability also. However I also appreciate the quicker loading times. So suppose that is a balance.

Also, the Sims 4 does bring us new things such as much quicker loading times and being able to travel to Simax that we didn't have in other games.

I LOVE that it is so much easier to play rotational play again in the sims 4 without having the sims age up while you are playing other houses!!!

I had this conversation yesterday with a friend of mine, I would love to see pets added to the game, or at least dogs and cats. Sprinklers so that I wouldn't have to waste time watering all of my plants, especially when my Sim is in a bad mood. I wish the game was open world like the Sims 3 but I understand why it isn't, I wish that the Sims started with five traits rather than 3 (four counting the trait given to your sim via aspiration), like the Sims 3 had. I feel like my Sims would have more personality if this was the case. I also wish babies were like Sims 3 toddlers than dolls wining 24/7 and that they actually had all of the old features that they had in the Sims 3. There's probably a lot more features I'd like to return to the Sims 4 but these are the main ones!

I would have to dig up the exact quote, but there was a general statement by one of the SimGurus that as popular as animals/pets are, and weather, we will see it.  Of course, whenever they decide to integrate it is a different matter.  Both in Sims 2 and Sims 3, those additions were on the latter half of the game's lifespan.

I just bought S4 2 days ago, along w Get to Work EP. I had no idea it wasnt open world. oh well, I miss patterns and color wheel. Also miss all the pool stuff like slides, diving boards etc. And lastly I miss toddlers (which is weird, cause irl i cant stand kids).
I waited awhile to buy S4 for it to work out bugs, have good EP and SPs. I really think its great though, when there are more towns and things to do I think I'll enjoy it alot more
