The only other thing I REALLY would love is different ways to do stairs.  I would love to be able to make U-shaped or grand staircases, that kind of thing.

I would dance like a crazy person if they'd give us the option to do different stair configurations - not just straight.

Yes I would love to have options for stairs. One thing I dislike on making stairs in Sims 3 is that I have to use terrain tool to get U shaped one since I like that stair more than spiral one. I will be very delighted if they managed to incorporate that in Sims 4

Lol, you and me both, Dellena XD It took me forever to learn how to use the building cheats, but I eventually did it.  Even if they could give us some cheats like that for stairs, I would be a very happy builder.  I feel like I can do so much with build mode already and without tearing my hair out for the most part.  So when the only thing that holds me back from trying a certain style of house is the kind of stairs that we have, I get a bit grumbly XD  Again, not to say anything particularly bad about the game, just that I think the build mode system is spectacular and can only be made more so as time goes on.  I'm just impatient and want it all now XD

I'm playing a multi-generational family at the moment, and I'm constantly wishing for some teen and elder-specific clothing. I'd like something different for them than the usual! At least the Sims 3 provided that from the start.

While I enjoy how much faster TS4 loads compared to TS3, there are just a few small things that I truly miss in my game still. As a legacy player, I miss toddlers the most and I really hope that Maxis brings them back either in a patch or some sort of EP, GP, or SP.  Other than that, it's really just basic things like dishwashers, food processors, trash compactors, and lounge chairs.

You can read it here from the beginning.

Even it was impossible to work with. I would like something like World Adventures *wiring*

I miss watching TV from bed.

i miss siting when hanging out like in Sims2 too, which could be extended to sit on the floor when watching tv.

I agree with previous posts beside this.
TS4 added some awesome group behavior, lively crowded places and that's the real huge improvement from TS3 to me (with multitasking and emotions making it working).

Oh yes i almost forgot, we miss twallan a lot too :)

I do not miss toddlers lol The game is difficult enough as it is to try and keep a large family happy and still complete aspirations and careers.
I don't miss dishwashers either, I save up money and buy one of those Nano trashcans and start making my trash work for me! There isn't a single basin/sink or normal trashcan on my property, so no to dishwashers lol

I do miss fairies and witches and pets but those will come in their time...

There are only 2 things I truly want sooner rather than later and that's Story Progression and Speed 4!

No biggie here, but it would be nice if the frog and insect boxes could be stacked.

I kind of feel like the emotions are overly done to the point of making quite a few traits pointless such as hot-headed if you can manage what a sim is feeling well, and I'd like to have more traits that don't just influence emotions.

  • Travel! I loved going to other countries and soaking in the culture. World Adventures will always be my favorite expansion from the Sims 3. Granite Falls is just a glorified Twin Peaks from Bon Voyage.
  • Almost everything from Generations - the after-school clubs, the prom dance for teens(with the new Messing Around option for teens, prom nights would become a lot more erotic!  ;) ), the treehouses for kids.
  • Into the Future's time travel. I really enjoyed being able to change the future.
  • And of course, the supernatural life states - Here's hoping for vampires in The Sims 4!

EA needs to stop glutting Sims 4 with game packs and get onto making great expansion packs. They did pretty well with Get to Work, they need to expand on that. (In the survey I took from EA, one of the expansion ideas was a Supernatural expansion where you could control the elements. Make it so!)
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

I also miss that low level food skill still give full moodlet if you manage to manage to make it high quality. I still can't understand fully why they make the fruits and vegetables at perfect but locked the quality of dish only to excellent (or impeccable if you have outdoor retreat). I miss a real restaurant like the one we have on the sims hot date or the sims 2 nightlife and the closest that we had for sims 3 was only introduced very late on The Sims 3 Into the Future and even that is not satisfying enough.

No toddlers were not as bad as I thought, and I'm happy they added pools, for free!

The lack of CASt drives me insane, the fact that I can't make two pieces of clothing with the same theme match in terms of color irritates me a lot. I just wish that I could simply make a shirt that comes in only green and blue, red. I also don't like how you are not able to change the color of headbands or other add-ons that come with the hairstyles, if a certain hair color looks good on a sim, but the headband doesn't math the outfit, there's nothing you can do.

However, I did like how they made hot tubs above ground, it really bothered me how the hot tubs in TS3 were, and I'm glad they changed the design.
