WA. Depends on your interest, if you like adventures, tomb exploring, riddles and collecting (plus 3 beautiful worlds) than WA.
If you are into party, social interactions, vampires and big city feel, then LN.
If I had to choose it would be WA.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've played for a while in Bridgeport and like the view. But I absolutely don't like that I can't move more than one household in a High Rise building.  >:(
I like the whole nightlife and watering holes and parties. The option to build own watering holes and lounges is great. :)
If the Late Night would have option to move multiple households in one High Rise buildings, I'd love it (as I loved TS2 Apartment Life).

In general, I expected more. :(

Didn't come in to this forum so I won't be jealous of you all having LN. Now that I have it, I can.
I'm having huge fun with it, a shame they didn't add metal, only hip-hop and blues. But I managed to make a thrashy looking brute with that new beard, so it's all good, I guess.

Hi welcome to the forum Schneider. Ok one thing I understand, you cannot make 18 houses per lot, but can you at least start off small and make 2, then as tech grows maybe add more. I mean anything that helps give the feel of an apartment is a step in the right direction.

I'm Black Metal fan too, ;D and in TS2 it was better, but here you can make your own heavy boots and so on.  :P Yeah the beard is great.

I think that they could have done better apartment. For example I could choose floor on which I want to buy flat. Then On every floor would be for example 4 or 6 flats. When I'd want to visit someone on other floor, it would give a short loading.

The apartments are huge disappointment for me, at first I thought that even though they cant be completely built because most of them are almost skyscrapers, but I had hoped they could at least have like 3-5 different families living in and the townie/whatever npc apartments would be built instead of being a door and nothing more. Other than just quickly checking how the apartments are I haven't really played it yet because I've read there's more bugs than I have hair, so maybe its best to wait some patches and play something else meantime.  ::)

I don't think it's realistic to expect Late Night or any other expansion to allow more than one household to live on the lot.  I don't understand why some of you expected it to be that way with apartments.  I never played Sims 2, so I don't know what it was like with apartments, but this isn't Sims 2.  I think the apartments are fun.  It's a different situation than the towns like Sunset Valley and Riverview, and it's a nice change.

In TS2 they had an expansion pack devoted to apartment life. In this pack, it allowed up to 4 families to live in the same apartment building. You could go to their apartment, similar to how you go to another sims house now, and you could hang out with your neighbors on the weekends. It was pretty cool. When TS3 came out I expected to do some of the things I was able to do in TS2. So when the apartments came out in night life I expected them to be on the same level as TS2 apartments or better.

That is why alot of people are disappointed in my opinion. They expected TS3 to have everything TS2 had and more. When I think they are bringing out a new version of a game I think of, better, more things to do, and all the great things to be carried over from the last and improved. That is just my opinion though.

So I understand why people were disappointed with the apartments.

From what I understand, though, the mechanics of The Sims 3 is different from The Sims 2, which makes it impossible to exactly recreate some of the things.  Personally, I think I would prefer something completely different in a new game rather than rehashing something that has already been done.  TS3 isn't just an upgrade of TS2.  It's a whole different game.

Also, nothing in the marketing for Late Night led me to believe that there would be multiple families in the apartments.  They were quite clear in interviews and press releases that it would be a single household living at the top of a building.  Electronic Arts never claimed that Late Night would be a revamped Apartment Life.

Pam I do agree, when I look at it, That it would not be possible to recreate everything due to the mechanics of TS3. I also never expected for things to be exactly the same either. I too would expect whole new things and places, but I just wished you could have more households living in a building at once. Also I would not say that TS2 and TS3 are whole different games. A whole different game would be like World of Warcraft.

As for the interviews and marketing, I seen alot of fun. The apartments were not even the reason I bought the new EP. So I never assumed or said that Late night was supposed to be a revamp of apartment life.  :-\ I am sure you said in the previous post that " you did not understand why some of us expected the apartments to be the same", so I just decided to mention what I personally thought about it, and my opinion of how others were viewing it. I was not trying to say " Oh that is just so wrong and everything is ruined because of that one detail". I was just giving a point of view.

The TS2 method was as much of a hack as it is in TS3. TS2 did it by making lots intersect, which brought all sorts of bugs. TS3 is as much unsuited for multiple families in a single lot as TS2 was, and they decided to skip the bugs and go for npc doors.

Of course, it wouldn't be unsuited if they had thought about it early and built in the functionality on early design, but I digress.

The mechanics in TS3 are different, I agree Pam. But I liked the way how they did it in TS2 and hoped that they will keep it that way. And I'm sure, that even in different mechanics, they could make 4 apartments on each floor which your sim could visit and so on.
