And just a note about the bonus items - I pre-ordered with Amazon.com (USA) and received a code via email last night with the two hairdo's and two new clubs that gerrr00's post shows, plus I received an additional nightclub (at least the picture shows three).

I thought these bonus items were only supposed to be received with pre-orders from EA and Gamestop but I am not going to complain.  ???

Wow! I cancelled my very early pre-order with Amazon, specifically so I could get the bonus items from Gamestop! :D I had even called EA to ask whether the bonus items would come with the Amazon order, but they were clueless. In fact they hadn't even heard of their own offer.  :o
 ::)

@mtglady: when you get it all installed could you please find out the name of the third venue? I'd like to check to see if I got it with my Gamestop order too.

I did find one thing out though, my sim made a drink, carried the glass outside to the hot tub, put the drink on the side of the tub and proceeded to drink her drink and then when she was finished, the glass vanished.  I thought that was pretty neat and they stand and hold their glass in the bars and visit.  Plus, I have noticed that the graphics are more clear and the sims move better than they did.  Not sure why, but I am not complaining.  I have most graphics on medium and mirror and water on super.  Sim detail on high, but that is the way I pretty much have always played.  All I know, it looks great and much more real than before, especially when they are dancing, so smooth and defined. :)

Holy Cow-Plant as my sim said earlier!  ;D

This game is awesome!  :D I love it so much! I have even progressed to a Vampire! Almost to Wittle-Vampires!  ;) They are so cool with the changing and all the blood sucking!  ;D My sim has danced on a counter, got drunk, started a brawl with a celeberity lower than her and also sucked blood from a top celeb!  :D The Grapphics are great and so is everything! One problem is all the clubs play classical music and I can't change it to something more Hip Hop/Pop etc. Which is kind of annoying, well maybe I am just bad at that, also no one else comes to the clubs! But oh well it could just be that it is a new game and people havn't settled in yet, maybe weekends do better? I have some photos for everyone!  ;D

Thanks Esther!  :) I have more of Vampires but this is the First Impression Thread and my Wireless is being dodgy so my photo uploading is risky.  :-\

I'm really liking the additions and the jury is still out, on Bridgeport.  I have decided that I'm not fond of apartment living, so I've moved to a house.

I have noticed only one glitch, though.  When my Sim gets an opportunity and has to visit a shared location such as the bookstore/spa, the opportunity can't be completed.  I get the button to "Report..." or "Visit...to complete" but the Sim goes nowhere and the action icon disappears in about 2 secs.  Also, the opportunity star doesn't appear over the location on the map.  I had an opportunity to play at the school and that was fine (including the star icon).  The only difference seems to be that the school is a building with one function.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I fall in love with this photo. It shows my two sims and Bridgeport in the background:

And later my Sim had a small fight with the elevator doors (which he loosed):

Last but not least, my Sims knows what it means to be a star, even in Al Simhara:

Yep, it seems to be a pretty well-known glitch at this point.  I think everyone sees it, sooner or later (I know I just did).   Apparently the game is giving out opportunities at locations that aren't in the city.  Or something.  Anyway... I'm sure it'll be fixed eventually.

@Pam: great video, great music! I have no experience playing ghosts nor vampires, so I'm sincere when I ask which toddler is the vampire and which the ghost?

The vampire is on the right with the light colored skin and reflective eyes.  The one on the left with the red/black wavy coloring is the ghost.  She's actually a vampire ghost.  Her father was a vampire that died of the thirst to become a vampire ghost.  I was very surprised to get a vampire baby from a ghost.  I expected the possibility of a ghost baby, but not a vampire because he had already died when he fathered them.  There were actually triplets:  2 ghosts and 1 vampire.  I have to say that watching Kidz Zone and listening to kids radio works like a charm in producing multiple births.  ;D

Maybe with the sound off! After raising a family, I've done my last stint of that.  :P
