We always recommend a complete uninstall and reinstall of the games when adding an expansion or stuff pack.  Just got mine uninstalled and about to start installing.

Sounds like good advice; I just re-installed yesterday before getting LN and it seems basically bug-free for me.

I hope everyone else can get it working!   After a bit of a slow start, I am finding it to be a lot of fun so far.

I'm finding it really fun so far. I am exploring Bridgeport. I don't think I'll actually end up using it, I mostly stick to Sunset Valley, but it's fun to go to all the clubs and explore. I like the apartments, except that I want to try a Butler and you have to have a bed for him to sleep in and I can't find one with 2 bedrooms. I had a hard time getting to be friends with a vampire, but I finally did and now I am a vampire! It's pretty cool so far, expect all your status bars turn purple instead of green, so now it looks weird to me :) I'm sure I'll get used to it. So far I really like it and I can't wait to find out all about it!

I am enjoying myself.  Bar-hopping is cool.  Hot tubs are cooler.  Vampires are REALLY cool.  Having said that, I'm not enjoying the apartments.  It seems really cramped in Bridgeport, and it's a real pain with the elevators...it takes an hour to get in and out of the building!  Can't sims do anything quickly?

I tried to play a ghosthunter/vampire and had to give up in disgust.  Can you imagine chasing ghosts that can show up on the 18th floor or the ground level, and you have to take the elevator every time the stupid spirit moves?  Ugh.  I don't think Ambitions careers and Bridgeport are a good mix.

My first impression was trying to install Late Night (after an hour long direct2drive download) to hit a roadblock in that it required the Sims 3 to be updated before I could play. Unfortunately, the launcher didn't see the new patch that's available. So, I'm now getting my patch from a third party site hoping it works or I can't even start. If it works I hope I can make a starter guide to mixology tonight :) I'm sure you guys will help me refine it

I won't get LN until tomorrow (so frustrating), but I have a question for those of you already playing it. Do you have to be in Bridgeport to play the clubs and other new community lots? Or are they available to add to other neighbourhoods (e.g. sunset valley?) so you can do all the same stuff there?

They are available for all other towns, which I think is way cool.

Wow, really love the new dance moves.  I didn't think there would be that many in here.  I think I kept my poor sims dancing half the night and then took them home to watch them there too.  I am so mean sometimes, lol.

If you look on the Sims forums, you'll see that a lot of people are having the same issue with the launcher crashing and games crashing once you start late night.

Yep, no more eccentric inventors/ghost hunters!

Sorry for being off-topic, but I want briefly respond. My sim just switched to Inventing without having the Eccentric trait. He caught on fire 3 times in 5 minutes despite 10 in handiness + the Handy trait. Plus, he couldn't invent anything because he kept catching fire. I switched him to Eccentric and all is good now.

I am very impressed with Late Night! Except for the fact I forgot to take out one mod and it crashed my game a couple hours in & I didn't save. However I did get hunted down by a vampire while trying to enter my high-rise apartment, which was super cool.. I'm going to start over tomorrow and find out more of the new things I can do :D

Have my copy now YAY. I've played around a little with building. Quite disappointed about the platform being just that and not a higher stage that can be used to make split stairs.
Loving the flexibility of the pool tools.
A few new wall coverings and some that are three customizable panels, but they all put definite lines across the wall between sections, so still no murals for me  :(
Off now to go and play my sim for a bit now, she's been patiently standing there while I played with the build tools lol

I am so jealous of you all that have gotten the game already and those that are getting it very soon.  I have to wait indefinitely for my copy.  Bummer  :'(

The new map - Bridgeport has no empty lots of 60x60.  :-[
I have to remove the existing lots and place my old lots of Ambitions here.
Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...
