Oh, I thought the paparazzi was the ice man outside the window.  I was confused - I thought you were being stalked by the T1000 from Terminator 2. ;)

Also just got it! And love it so far. I don't find it harder living in apartments, in fact, my Sim only use toilet and bed in her apartment :D. So far I love it. And vampires are not so big deal as I was afraid. Nor paparazzi. There is a lot of new moodlets and I love it!

Did you noticed pigeons? Ha ha. Not supreme graphic details but still it is a nice touch :D

Yeah, it's pretty neat having an immortal sculptor.  They learn to make all kinds of stuff.  :D

I absolutely love the ice furniture. Me want, me want *kicking and screaming.*

As I promised myself I got my copy of LN yesterday. My boyfriend was anxious to get into it so I didn't get to post yesterday. I like the new things I've discovered so far. But I think my head has not yet converted to Sims3. I'm still in TS2 mode. When I read that they added apartments, I was thinking it would be like Apartment Life, where multiple people can live in the same building. However I do like the units. I also thought that the partying would be in a whole different area like in Night Life. Not actually in the town. Trying to put those venues into Riverview and Sunset Valley looked weirdly out of place.

The only complaint I have is the one I always have since I started TS3. They layout of the town makes it difficult to place lots. And there is not much room for expansion. It seemed easier to move my current household to Bridgeport than to bring Bridgeport to Sunset Valley. However there wasn't a place for me to put a 64x64 lot. I finally decided to remove the cemetery. I'm sure that's going to bite me in the bum sooner or later since that's where certain fish are. But I really wanted my family to experience the city life.

Like I said I haven't gotten into every new feature but I am definitely liking the subways and my son snuck into a club and got busted. Can't wait to see the Guide on this expansion.

Does the sneak action you get in the thief career branch help you sneak into bars and stuff?

I was just thinking how amazing it would be if they had put Simlish Karaoke into the game!

Oh, I kept forgetting to post and I'm not sure if someone already said this, but have you guys heard the Cooler Than Me and the other real life songs from real life they put in simlish? If you go to pop and skip a couple of songs, it's really funny. Yeah, karaoke in this game with those songs would be hilarious.

They had karaoke in the Sims 2: Nightlife. The songs were pretty funny, but the animations were better.

It seems like I'm seeing a lot of posts that compare Late Night to Sims 2 apartments and vampires, both positively and negatively.  I just want to say that Sims 3 is NOT Sims 2.  I've never played anything but Sims 3 and I truly enjoy all the new things that are added.  Why is anyone expecting apartments to be the same in Sims 3 as they were in Sims 2?  The game is entirely different with a different set of mechanics.  And why would they repeat something that's already been done?

I'm with you Pam, never played 1 or 2 so everything to me is new and I have nothing to compare it too! I'm glad it's not the same, but I wouldn't know if it was or not lol.

Well, I played all Sim series, and yes, I did expect apartments to be evolved as traveling or selfemployment was. Or many other things present in all Sim series. It's not that bad, I like this expansion almost as I like World Adventures but that expectation is logical for all Sim2 players.

Back to topic, have you noticed further environment of city? Glacier and crack that broke the road? I wonder which cities were inspiration for Bridgeport, I can recognize some elements from SF and LA but since never been in States, my guessing is not that good :D  It may be called Silicon Valley for shore with this new addition :D

To me, Bridgeport resembles many U.S. cities in general because it has some buildings on the edge of town that look a little older and nice newer buildings more in the center.  That's exactly how Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas are laid out in the downtown areas.  It also has signs that look like our Interstate highway signs, although I don't see any real multi-lane interstates there.
