Is this aspiration bugged?
I have had one sim reach level 5 in three jobs now and nothing 'ticks' off on the aspiration goals.

Is it only for the last goal you're having trouble with (reach level 5 in 3 careers)?  My Sim is on that step so I can't say anything about it, but the other ones have counted fine.  Here's what I've noticed about the others:

It only counts towards the goal of reaching level 5 when your Sim gets a promotion with the aspiration selected.  If your Sim is on a different aspiration it doesn't count, and if you're already at level 5+, it doesn't count.  If you're already at level 3+ however and then get a promotion, it will count.  I think this only works once per job.

Each time you get a new goal of reaching level 5, the ones you've done earlier won't count towards this goal.  However, you can just get a promotion for the job you're already in, and it will count towards the goal.

@ claymask. I'm finding this aspiration really tricky. It was one of my legacy sims that had to do this aspiration and because I couldn't even get step one to 'work' I ended up moving him out of the legacy house. Darn, maybe I didn't wait long enogh to get a promotion before assuming it was bugged.

I accomplished this aspiration pretty quickly actually. it was before the patch though, but not sure if that made a difference. I just kept switching careers once he got to the required level. If your sim has the "Connections" reward trait, it makes it pretty easy.

I just can't get the first step to 'check off'. It' soooo frustrating. <bangs head on desk> 
I'm going to ignore it for a while, I find that fixes most things in life. You know, if it's not important it will go away, and if it is, it will just get bigger and more easily seen.

Now that I think about it, this was in the very beginning right after the game was released so the 3 careers in which my sim reached Level 3 were all "new" careers for him. They were not careers that he had returned to for a second time. Does that help at all?

No, but thanks. This sim was just starting his first career and no matter how far he goes in it the aspiration just doesn't seem to register it. I'm not playing this sim now so literally I'm going to ignore the problem and I'll tackle it further along my legacy with another sim. If it happens again I'll report it as a bug etc.
