Aww, that really was cute that Dayla ended up falling for Moony  :)

Someday I'll have an immortal who doesn't end up happy in love . . . someday . . .

Hyun-Moon is gorgeous and I always pick him as a spouse. Poor Nadia looks like she's trying to get his attention but Dalya wins  ;)

He's a great option for a spouse anyway, and brings a lot to the table in genetics as a bonus!  I've barely played Midnight Hollow but it's been really fun so far and the townies are brilliant!

Hurray for love and the beginnings of a proper house! :D

And wow does Midnight Hollow look nice during a rainstorm.

Hurray indeed! The worst thing about having money in a dynasty is the obligation to build stuff! Building stuff is not a magical time! Yayyy . . .

It's really gorgeous! The whole romantic gothic dark vibe that I'm into.

Pure Devine excellence (as if that were a suprise see as how it's you  ;) ) Great to have you back Azokka.

Thank you very much ;) and it's great to be back! Sorry it took me so long!
I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

Is Someone Crying?
« Reply #17 on: November 03, 2014, 08:05:08 PM »
Is Someone Crying?

The ceremony was short, simple, and elegant--which is a generous way of saying that we stood in a field in formalwear at around midnight and exchanged rings before heading in.

Hyun-Moon and I said a few words--nothing particularly notable, just "I don't know why we're not doing this in the morning," "It's so romantic," "Okay then," "Always one step ahead of the vampires," "Love you," et cetera.

His ring was made out of owl tears and the glimmer of the sun on steel.

Mine was spun from moonbeams and the dreams of mist.

And then we kissed.

It was a sparkling night under a red moon, and we fell asleep happy. And peaceful. And safe. But for the first time, with dreams flitting by in slivers of glass, I felt the weight of immortality settle on my shoulders--one day I would be alone in this bed, and would remain alone for a very long time, maybe forever.

Life is not always such a happy time.

The next morning I started sculpting in earnest, wielding the hammer and chisel with the strength of a mammoth and fire of a lemur.

Moony soon joined me in the art room--

"Hey former roommate Young Jae, I'm . . . sick. Very sick, yes. My hypolungtiritisafalcon is acting up--but I'll still come! Yes! No? But I--okay, fine, I'll stay home. With pay. Mkay? Bye!"

As we spent more time in close proximity we started feeling friskier--

Until I rolled out of bed in an unflattering yellow dress (but who am I kidding I looked enchanting you fools) and started eating watermelons.

Unfortunately Hyun-Moon only finished learning to sculpt in immortal ice when I was in the bloom of pregnancy! I still posed, of course, and looked rather intimidating in the bargain.

Later that day I felt a slight tingling in my abdomen . . .

"Aiiiii!"

"Ooooka oooka ooooka!

"Moony! Moony cooooome!"

"Down by the bay . . . where the watermelons grow . . . back to my home . . . I dare not go . . . for if I do . . . my mother will say: Have you ever seen a pear, ready to swear--"

And then this happened.

"Ah . . . Moony? I need you a little bit . . ."

"So . . . triplets."

"Indeed."

"Okay then."

"Is someone crying?"

"Yes."

'Twas a question that would echo exceptionally often over the next few years.

Thus we came to own three beautiful, magical, enchanting daughters: Sasha, Mae, and Alice. We're going to do that thing where we won't tell you who's the heir for a really long time and you'll become attached to the wrong ones and then it'll be like   ??? :o :( >:( :'(.

Keeping our girls happy, fed, and clean was a constant uphill battle--two exhausted diaper-wielding bat-and-moon against a butterfly, a kitten, and a dove with flames coming out of their eyes.

But we were nearly-close-to-being-halfway-equal to the challenge.

I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

I'd say you're evil for not disclosing the heiress, but you're suffering enough with triplets in your game, so I'll let it slide. :P

Yay, triplets. Did you aim for them or did you want twins instead? I love not knowing who the heiress is.

I actually have a lot of practice with triplets in Sims: in every non-dynasty game they seem to constantly pop up . . . but that doesn't make it any less painful I assure you!

Yay, triplets. Did you aim for them or did you want twins instead? I love not knowing who the heiress is.

I was aiming for triplets since there's space in the beginning and I need some serious manpower to get off the ground. Me too! Although the heiress never does seem to be my favorite . . .

Peace--Sort Of

Peace--Sort Of

In two days, we were tired but functioning. At three, tense. Four: exhaustion, irritability, desperation. Then . . .

"How are you my mist flower?"

"Marvelous, Moony. Simply marvelous."

"Isn't it wonderful that we can have a babysitter come over here at night?"

"And lock them in."

"Oh, yes. You let him out this morning, right?"

"Of course. Listen to how quiet they are!"

The children were likely silenced by horror rather than the babysitter's night-long escape attempts. But at a certain point peace in the house is like getting your child a dog: you don't care what it looks like as long as the excrement is disposed of and hair vacuumed. Okay, I know, I'm too tired to make an analogy! It's what the vampires want . . .

Hyun-Moon and I celebrated our birthdays quietly only a few days apart. I looked practically vampiric (BAD), but he only imp--okay, he didn't improve, but he still looks rockmazing.

Our birthdays, and the girls' immediately following, were extremely low-key affairs: we were all too tired to really put on the effort, and juggling three babies is not as easy as it sounds! But Moony and I spent a more than appropriate amount of time oohing and aaahing over our little flowers.

If we thought having baby triplets was difficult, we had no idea what was in store once they became toddlers! On top of that my business career was really taking off and Hyun-Moon was thinking about going back to work for realsies.

Our sleep cycles were thrown off, with two adults and three toddlers to train in three skills and otherwise be cleaned, fed, and snuggled.

The potty training alone . . .

But was it all worth it?

Eh . . . maybe. Give it a year then get back to me.

I must admit that my heart melted whenever I looked down at my girls playing in their own little world. Sweet, imaginative Alice . . .

Sasha the reckless elf-like creature . . .

And of course shy, sensible Mae.

Whatever the problems with daily life, it certainly did fly by! Before I knew it I looked out the window to see snow falling over the valley. Before long, the grey was transformed to a sparkling white wonderland.

One night, at around midnight-thirty, Moony and I ran to the store, bought several hundred pounds of colored lights, and strung them up over the house.

After we were finished, we ran back into the house and cuddled on the couch for a few minutes, simply enjoying each other's company. It felt wonderful just to sit for a moment and be at peace.

Sort of.

Hyun-Moon, with his usual gentleness, picked Mae up and carried her into the nursery. I could hear him wishing the girls goodnight as I got us both some PB&J from the fridge.

At last the girls' birthday arrived! We invited over all of my coworkers, bought a few cakes, and watched our children transform.

Okay, so somehow you sneaked multiple updates past me, but I'll let that pass.

I love the cuteness of the bat and moon passing in the ship. Dalya's a bit insane, isn't she? In England, a bird is a woman, so her calling him little bird was pretty funny. It's sad he's so old and he's going to die! But wow does he have good genes! So I suppose he's worth it. Triplets, yeah, I can see when you don't have helpers how you'd need more children. But really, they didn't have to be born all at once!

I can never cope with triplets, I just can't. Every time I try I wind up turning on testingcheatsenabled. My favorite so far is Alice, I love her coloring and...where did she get blonde hair?  ???  It still looks nice with her skin tone.  ;D

Okay, bad news (which is [let's face it] pretty much the norm):

I turned on the computer to find my Twilight file entirely (to be straightforward) jacked up. I believe it's because of something my sister did on the unfortunately community computer; however, it was doing a weird thing where all the buildings cast giant grey shadows that blocked out everything and were static and generally made the whole thing unplayable. I literally couldn't see anything beyond the tiny beacon that was the home lot.

Anyway, since we're hardly invested in the game at this point and my Internet probing has yielded nothing, I've decided to just let it go. Besides, maybe it's time to move on from Immortal Dynasties: they're fun, but after having so much fun with the Elysi's (that was pretty much my peak in this area) it's difficult to really enjoy a remake. So! Might be that I'll see some of you on the Life States board if that catches my fancy.

Until then, thank you all so much for your support and comments! And my sincere apologies for leading you on like this; the Twilights were actually a lot of fun, but technology is either trying to lead me in the right direction (I mean, if not for all the technological whyyy of the past the Elysi's would have been a thing, right?) or it just hates me. Mhm.

So, again, thank you very much! This thread will be moved to the graveyard in a couple days.

Awww I'm sorry Azo-chan. That is a disappointment. Nonetheless, your sunny attitude about the whole thing is a plus. At least you hadn't got far!
