Chapter 32: And So It All BeginsKalani is my best friend ever.
We spend all our time hanging out and chatting. I guess it's like Dad and Uncle Jon, they're best mates too.
I went to see Moo but Dad told me that he had a secret, special mission for me today.
I had to track Kayleigh at all times. That's what Dad said. At all times.
He said that I had to especially make sure she wasn't doing anything gross, and that I was to phone him if she did. I don't really know what Kayleigh
is doing, but this guy looks pretty tough.
I followed them to the park. Yuk, I txted dad, he told me to keep on the case.
I
so don't know what the heck Kayleigh was up to. I thought maybe she was telling him a joke 'cos he was laughing. Pretty weird joke.
They sat down and were just talking so I figured I'd make some new friends while I was here.
It's funny how girls get all weirded out when their mums come by.
It was getting pretty late by the time we'd all had enough of playing so I went to find Kayleigh. I'd forgotten all about her actually.
Ha ha, they were busted by the dudes dad. Well, he looks pretty angry anyway. I phoned dad and told him to get over here.
Kayleigh and her 'friend' sprung apart when Dad arrived. He tried to smooth things over
Dad was pretty nervous, you can always tell 'cos he gets this goofy smile plastered on his face. Poor dad.
I don't think the 'smooth things over' approach really worked. Dad was still pretty cut up about Granny. Trust Kayleigh to make it all about her. She's becoming such a pain in the thing you sit on, and I don't mean chair.
Kayleigh was in trouble deep and she was making all the excuses under the sun. It didn't wash. To be honest, I started feeling pretty weird about now. I don't exactly know what she has done that's
so bad. Everyone was pretty worked up so I just hung back and stayed out of it all.
We all travelled home and Kayleigh got to talk to whoever he is again.
While Dad sat next to them. Hahah.
