Replacing a Missing Ceiling

You may have accidentally removed the ceiling from a room and want to get it back.  Here's one way using the room selection.

Select the room with the missing ceiling.  Notice the yellow highlight around the top of the walls.

Click on that yellow bit and you should get the option to Build Ceiling.  Click on that and your ceiling is back.

The other option is to build a room on top of the one with the missing ceiling which will also bring it back.  Then delete the walls and the ceiling of that room so it just leaves the floor.

I've been using the "flat area" tool to do this. This is much more convenient! How did you discover this?

Thank you Dellena , I was wondering how to fix this in my house. :)

By accident. :)  But it's taught me to keep my eyes open for these type features.

Good info here. You can also use this method for the porches if you want no railing but want beams and a roof.

Knowing this has been such a relief! I had been trying to get a roof on a victorian style house for a while and it was sooo frustrating.
