I started writing an update right away anyway so I might as well post it now. I've noticed I seem to take more pictures than I did in the beginning so maybe the story will develop a little slower now.

Cedrik really feels he is getting older and starts thinking more about what he wants to do rather than about what he should do. Most of the time he has been doing whatever he wants since what he wants usually is painting masterpieces and working out. Some of his more frequent wishes have never been achieved though and one among them is “be mean to Rickie” which is directed at his cousin and old housemate. One day he decides to drop by the Neal house for some taunting.

Cedrik: “So you're a vegetarian Rickie? Strange that I kept feeling hunted and drained in that house then. Somebody had a hard time keeping to his plasma fruit diet I see.”

They yell at each other and fight for a while before thing go really bad and Rickie suddenly dies of vampire starvation right in front of him. He turns around and feels really bad when he notices the woman and teen girl mourning over Rickie. The girl called Cathy is not his daughter though, she is not in the family tree. Cedrik also becomes worried about the looks Death is giving him… almost like he is sizing him up with the scythe.

His suspicions about Death seem to be right; Cedrik dies soon after, just 95 days old. His only company at that time is Jessica who despite him teaching her the photography skill dislikes him and she does not react the usual way.

Jessica: “Don’t quit on me now loser, you were going to help me do this toddler art!”

Most family members are very upset about Cedrik’s death, except his grandson who is too young to understand and his wife who during her years as criminal has developed a stone heart (LTR) that keeps her from being in touch with her emotions. To make matters worse it’s like they keep forgetting he is dead and then it happens again in a slightly different place several times (I saved two hours before and the game kept crashing but it got better after that).

Something has really changed with Deaths relation to the family lately. After taking Cedrik for the last time death asks to talk to Arthur in private. Arthur is afraid at first but when they reach the kitchen he is surprised to see that death only takes a celebrity photo of him with his cellphone and then leaves.

I would have thought he would just take the celebrity and not just a photo!  ;)

I was so surprised about that death interaction I forgot to take a picture with the actual cell phone, very annoying. I think I've seen him using it before though but I can't think of in which situation. Samoth, I thought that too... maybe he took the picture because he couldn't take the immortal celebrity?

Another update now:

The house is in a state of mourning when it’s time for Karanos birthday. Nestor has buried himself in work at the hospital and is almost never home and Jessica doesn’t show up for the birthday because she claims to be in a hurry working on the last toddler sculpture. The older immortals try to make it a happy celebration anyway but the smiles look a little fake.

Karanos gets the new trait daredevil and considers adding a ponytail to the hairstyle he grew up with. Nestor is promoted again and comes home in time for the cake but is to tired to eat anything after the long workday.

Jessica eventually joins the dinner after her son has gone to bed. Disliking children does not work very well when you have one and she wonders if she could somehow change her attitude towards kids and people in general. Life in the big house isn't what she expected before moving in and after asking around and getting vague answers to how old everyone is she suspects the idea of waiting around for her rich husband to die is not going to work here.

Karanos is tired his second day in school and faints right after which sets him up for the same kind of miserable childhood of celebrity "scandals" his father had. He seem to be friendly with most other students but he hasn't met any girls yet... in fact all of the other kids are both boys and vampires and most are also distantly related to him.

How is that possible? Well the main cause is that Cedrik's brother William is in a relationship with another vampire and she keeps giving birth to vampire children that are Nestor's cousins. They now have three boys with the not so matching names Jamaal, Rodger and Benito and a fourth baby on the way. The majority of the town children being vampires have had some impact on children beliefs in the area.

Rodger: "Go out and play? Are you crazy, it's only 3 pm now! Mommy says the big bad yellow monster in the sky will come down and eat us if we stay out to long during the day."

Nice update Nilla!

Karanos' hair as a child is awesome. I usually just skip right over those hairstyles but it seems to work for him.

I like his hair.  He really resembles Jon Lessen.  Is he one of Karanos' ancestors?  Just a side question, vampires seem to die a lot for others, (but not me), but isn't there a way to "cure" them of being a vampire?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

@ Joria: I recall reading something about the Science Center and 3,000 Simoleons to cure vampire-ism.

I thought the hair fit him too but not all boys would look good with that hairstyle. He will get even longer hair when he is older, I have a thing for men with with long hair so I wanted at least one of the male immortals to have that. Curing vampires is possible but I'm not sure if it's allowed to move them in at all this challenge. It wouldn't matter now anyway when all young vampires are boys and can't be used to make generation seven.

@ Joria: I like Jon Lessen so he would probably be in the family tree if this was Riverview and not Sunset Valley ;) It's harder to tell the difference now when there are almost no original inhabitant families left.

Last update for the week now:

Nestor reaches the top of his career and is the fastest in the dynasty to do so with him not even having turned adult yet. He is also a five star celebrity so his free clinics and randomly rescuing people on the street makes large groups of people gather around him and the paparazzi take lots of pictures. The guy in the hat is the main family stalker now.

Nestor is also a medical scientist that likes experimenting with creating new medicines and as a fellow scientist Arthur is usually the one that feels obligated to try the new cures, even when Nestor's "genius" ideas doesn't work quite so well.

Nestor: "I think I have found it the cure of all diseases! I made this gigantic pill out of all possible medicines so there will no longer be a need for any diagnosis; just take this pill and it will cure everything."

Arthur: "Uh... it a bit too large to be practical and what about possible side effects of the chemicals and bacteria developing immunity? *sighs* Never mind… I'll try it; I guess I should be happy it's just for swallowing. I hope it doesn't make be burned and itchy like the stuff my coworkers keep giving me."

Karanos is about to age up to teen and invites his vampire friends Rodger and Sean to the birthday party. He has just discovered that Sean has a little human sister/cousin called Jeana who is the first young girl he has ever seen so he invited her too out of curiosity

He becomes a charismatic teen, the first in the family since Victor to have that trait. It gives more social interactions but he will not get any charisma points because if you get one point in it it could easily become ten just by talking to people.

Right after the party Karanos goes up to the music room upstairs and starts jamming with his older family members, there doesn't seem to be any other musicians in town. His hair has really grown remarkably fast in a couple of hours and he tries some other wardrobe options to look more like a rock star. He figures something has to be done about the rest of the bands looks too if he's going to be seen playing with them.

Lol. The band is a really popular concept for aging, bothersome elder immortals. Its the Sims' version of Bingo...

What's wrong with the other band members' outfits?  :D  Bathing suit and robe - what's more rock star than that?

Good job Nestor! Since he was a child, he was very dedicated and ambitious, so he lives up to his expectations! And as for Karanos, well, his hair does grow fast! Would love to see some long hair guys here too, I gave my 3.heir long tail while YA, so he didn't looked like rock star, but it was still long heir :D
I also reread a few pages back just to make shore I'm up to date with your dynasty, since I check it regularly, even if not having time to comment it each time I check it.

I'm a bit late with responding since I've been away from home for a few days now, thanks for reading everyone. My elderly immortals are all still working and the purpose of that is to keep them away from skilling items during the day but they usually just play computer- or videogames and do gardening in their free time except Cleopatra who always wants to break space rocks instead. They have a shuffleboard table because what else was I supposed to do with a long hallway, but they rarely use that for some reason.

I really wanted to move on with the challenge a bit now but got some unexpected interactions in the game and I tend to play like if something random happens I make it part of the story so this update is mostly a little unnecessary drama development.

Cleo becomes the first immortal to start a new relationship after the death of her spouse but it is really an old one. It turns out her teenage crush Aron Chapa is still alive and that they are still in love despite not having met for ages and since he lives close to her job it easy to meet up before it starts.

Aron is the Keaton couples grandchild (his father was very old when making his young girlfriend pregnant) so after six generations of immortals there is still a sim alive that is only two generations from original Sunset Valley inhabitants.

Nestor finally meets his last chess opponent and is now Chess legend. The opponent happens to be his brother in law Stewart Holmberg-Wiedler who stays a while after the game and has a few unpleasant things to say about the sister that he dislikes.

Stewart: "So I see you are the unfortunate who married my little golddigger sister. People used to think that our poor vampire father followed her everywhere (he shows up in most of Jessica's teen pictures) because he was overprotective but he was actually trying to protect others from her. She was always talking about how she was going to marry some rich and preferably also very old man but I see now that she only succeeded in the first."

Jessica: "I have no idea what he is talking about, my brother must be getting confused in his old age. I never said anything about marrying rich."

Despite Jessica denying it, Nestor is getting a little suspicious about his wife’s intensions...

The sensible thing would of course be to deal with the issue and question his wife some more but Nestor does not feel ready to make any big accusations yet and instead tries to focus on his medical studies. One of his new scientific experiments involves the new unlife state vampire ghost and since a perfect example happens to live in their training room he goes up to question her.

During this study he finds out that Crissy is 1: flirty and 2: of a compatible star sign. Cleo is the only other person in the house awake and with her habit of running around everywhere she runs right in to a very awkward situation between her son and her dead friend.

Cleo: "What were you doing there with Crissy? She's far too old for you, not to mention already dead, and your wife is sleeping only two rooms from here!"

Nestor:“I know it’s was wrong to cheat on Jessica but what am I supposed to do exactly? I just found out my wife only married me for my money but I can't divorce her because no one can ever leave this house.“

Cleo:“But Crissy is also in this house so more family members will find this out eventually and they will probably be even more upset upset with you than me. Even I can't help thinking the getting involved with a ghost like that seems… unnatural somehow.”

Nestor:"Compared to what? Half the people in this house seem to have some sort of ghost relationship so in a way I'm just doing things in advance. But don't worry it was nothing serious with Crissy, I will not contact her if she shows up haunting again.”

The next day Nestor ages up to a mature man and despite his marriage problems and the incident with Crissy he feels pretty good about his life. He has done most of the things he had planned to succeed with in the young adult stage except for tutoring children and a couple of opportunities and those things will be easily done as an adult.
