Excellent choice Nilla. With midlife crisis, and with second or third gen in home, spouses are there just for next gen, so I choose the prettiest one since everything else is changeable ;D
How do they manage to sleep in shifts? I could never pull that of! and you can always purchase more beds and when you built bigger home you can place them back without losing money.
Interesting that Tosha don't have much interesting in painting. But it's good that we control them despite high free will :D
Great update, looking forward for more!

Anushka, I find that traits are important for a while since I will always give spouses fast learner first a mid-life crisis can take some time to arrange. Artistic is the trait I wanted most since a good painter would be needed fast if something should happen to Morgana but I also like how Tosha looks. Having them sleep in shifts is not so hard since I play that way normally if I have more than three sims in a house - make two of them sleep at different hours so the others can get more attention.

Tosha did become pregnant and since the nurse who gave her instructions on what not to do in this state did not mention ice sculpting with a chainsaw she happily goes on doing that. Arthur wants a boy but Tosha wants a girl and she has melons so she's in charge. Victor celebrated his ice sculpture nr 26 by making one of Morgana who really deserved that after sculpting so many others.

One morning Morgana wakes up and feels older somehow, like she reached the end of a life stage. She goes to the kitchen and starts to make more of that ambrosia stuff that Victor mentioned is supposed to make one feel younger but then suddenly passes away while preparing the second round. I didn't think of writing down how old she was but it can't have been much more than 90. She and Victor never came around to discuss who would be allowed to eat it (I was planning on taking a picture of a staged scenario where they talk about it but her death came too soon).

She looks happy as a ghost perhaps because she died knowing she would become a grandmother soon. Victor is extremely upset thinking that he could have saved his wife but hesitated before because it might provoke death enough to risk the lives of himself, Arthur and the new child. Tosha had a good relationship to her mother in law and is sad Morgana will not get to meet her child. But maybe she will... Victor that has seen ghosts before decided to keep her grave on the lot.

Arthur: “What a sad, awful day. I’m so tired, I don’t think I can take anything more happening right now.”
Tosha: “Turn around. I’ve got a surprise.”

Tosha started giving birth just right after Morgana’s death so the poor woman was pretty much ignored by her husband and his father. She gave birth to a baby girl that got the traits friendly and clumsy. Yes I actively chose clumsy mostly so that she can break more stuff for her father to fix and the alternatives weren't that great.

Another name was initially planned for generation three but when she was born on her grandmothers death day I looked for royal names beginning on M (not Morgan, it would be to confusing) on a English name site and she ended up with Maeve, originally in the form Medb a queen from Irish tale “The Cattle Raid of Cooley”. Maeve likes the colour yellow, latin music and cookies. She got her mothers hair colour but I have no idea where the purple eyes came from.

ladylaw1978, I thought Morgana's whey were dark blue first but checked in a new Sunset Valley game and it looks like purple but much darker than Maeve's. I guess it's possible they are from her then, I'm not very good at sim 3 genetics I keep thinking it works like sims 2 sometimes.

Thank you Metro. I was bit suprised by Maeve (now a teen in my game), she looks unusually good for a sim with pretty much random genetics.

Immortality progress: Arthurs handiness skill supermax is going pretty well except for the electrician challenge and his perfect garden LTW was done very fast since they already had five perfect plants when he got it. Victor just turned out to be the worst sculptor ever, despite having the right trait and reward he made 10-15 bad attempts at toddler statue before the last day when Tosha became ice personality and made a brilliant one. Next generation skill must be cooking, a steady source of ambrosia is needed.

Arthur’s is a serious scientist (genetic resequencer at the time) and finds birthday parties to silly so his adult birthday is a simple gathering of family with some cake and consignment store nectar. As a small birthday present his father buys his working place the science facility for him, something that should make the relationship to his boss a little strange. I could imagine the interactions: “A promotion you say; of course mr Crown, please don’t fire me.”

Morgana comes back to haunt the house for the first time one night when Maeve is a toddler. She spends most of her time there watching the romance channel and pretty much ignores the granddaughter she wanted so much before. Something about Maeve’s eyes makes her look scarier than her ghostly grandma in this picture.

When it’s time for Maeve’s birthday it’s discovered that despite her being taught to walk early she haven’t learned any other toddler skills. In a last minute effort the young princess finally masters her “throne” but she lacks that last bit of learning to talk. She therefore gets the somewhat unnecessary random trait family-oriented but it could have been worse I guess, unless it really does cause twins.

Maeve: “Yuck, this cake from my baby birthday tastes old. Can I have a piece of your cake instead grandpa?”
Victor: “Not quite yet, you need to be as old as me to eat it and there are a few things you need to do first. Speaking of which, it would be great if you learned to make more of it, it might not last until then otherwise.”
Maeve: “Okay, I’ll go and start baking training right away with my new birthday present.”

Maeve: “Look I made cookies, all the cookies.”

She really took the mission seriously; Maeve spent a whole Saturday baking to make a Sunday surprise for her family. To bad these doesn’t count as served meals for the cooking challenges.

Her little friend in the picture is Mortimer and Bella’s second child they got when Marisol was a teen so they are almost following the sim 2 story in this neighbourhood. Then they apparently lost their minds because they shaved the boys head and named him Bubba Bachelor.

Cute girl and nice story. I'm surprised by Bella and Mortimer, I haven't seen them together in my games! And poor Bubba! I'm also annoyed with bad painters and sculptors, they remain bad despite traits, LTR and experience. Wonder why you made Arthur supermax handiness but give him Garden LTW? I'm happy to see Maeve practicing ahead, it's so cute when children bake their cookies:)

Anushka, I wanted Arthur to supermax handiness since the house was in need of some upgrades but choose the garden LTW because it showed up and was already so close to being done. Bella and Morty as a couple has happened in my game a couple of times but I haven't seen that combination of children from them before. I haven't had sim kids baking much before so I pretty much thought it was just for looking cute, but it turned out be enough to keep the whole family on an unhealthy diet for over a week :D.

The house finally got a bit bigger with two new doors out and several extra rooms. Both Arthur and Maeve got their own rooms, they also now have a guest room and a separate nursery. Another room’s purpose is at the moment to be a place to break cheap toilets and electronics for Arthur’s skill challenge.

The garden got a bit bigger since Arthur became gardener and a new generation of special seeds turned out to be only money trees and death plants. After deleting about half the house foundation and still not getting to place stairs to the basement I got tired of trying and just moved the stairs further away from the house and later built walls around them.

Elaine: "What are all those things? Wow, someone must really like how you look a lot."
Maeve: “Oh never mind them, mom and grandpa like collecting them for some reason. I’m just glad mom finally likes one of hers enough so I don’t have to pose anymore.”

The edges of the lot are beginning to fill up with sculptures since both Victor and Tosha are making them and both of them want a hundred placed. There aren't many kids in the area right now, this new girl called Elaine Daniels was their old paper girl and apparently she doesn't mind spending hours playing tag in high heels.

Here is a bad picture of Maeve's birthday party where I realised she didn't know anyone young besides Bubba and Elaine. I don't know who the child is he just showed up. She got the new trait natural cook and will be the family chef in the future. I think it will also help if her clumsy trait would make her burn stuff when cooking, as a natural cook she can’t burn food.

Being family-oriented Maeve knows the importance of finding a good husband so she starts searching for one the first days as a teen taking grandpa with her to visit young men in town (he keeps the cops away if it gets late). Victor’s favourite candidate is this boy named Stefan Haley since he comes from a good family. Just how are they good? Well, they are obviously good enough to live in the old Alto house worth a fortune.

You can run in to the strangest people trying to study cooking at the library…

Man in blue: “Excuse me miss, my name is Brain Wilder. I couldn’t help overhearing that you’re looking for a husband and I’d like to introduce you to my son Bart over there. He might be insane and lazy but he is also a good man. I don’t really want you to marry him since commitment is stupid, but have his children – lots of them.”

Yes the name generator actually named him Brain, I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with it in this neighbourhood. He is also family oriented and has commitment issues which seem like such a lovely combination.

I finally saw the posting pictures thread and figured out how to edit them in photoshop so future pictures will be in a smaller size. I'm sticking to the five pictures with text under (like a comic strip) style for now since I don't like breaking patterns but if anyone has better suggestions I'm willing to change it.

Morgana has been back haunting a few times and those days she and Victor are spending more time together than they did when she was alive. They usually get along well but even marriage after death can have its problems, like her choice of first haunting object being the burger patty he was trying to plant before 5 am.

Victor got the special plant opportunities and I thought he might as well do them since no one will supermax gardening and Arthur have already had plenty of handiness and work opportunities of his own. Morgana’s grave is just placed on the lawn at the moment but I will build a mausoleum for spouses on the lot once I’ve decided how it will look.

Victor and Tosha’s 100 statue wish has lead to the eternal battle of topiary giraffes vs penguins on the lawn. Whenever making random topiaries Tosha for some reason almost always make a giraffe while Victor keeps making penguins. So far the giraffes are dominating with seven against six. Both sculptors are now masters of their art after nervously making five metal objects each with a shower moved next to them.

Maeve got an opportunity in school to go to France and make a cultural interview so she gets the prepared traveller reward and the whole family decides to go on a six day vacation to Champ les Sims. Arthur and Tosha spend most of the time at the hotel or just going wherever they want to like this café. Victor is a bit attracted by the many beautiful women in town but stays away from them partly out of loyalty to Morgana but mostly since he doesn’t want any random children popping up and becoming heirs to his fortune.

Maeve is the one doing all the adventuring on this trip and she becomes the first in the family to complete a dungeon and heroically return with the lost baseball relic. She manages so many travel adventures that she almost gets to visa level three, which is frustrating enough for her to make a second trip two days later to complete the Landgraab mansion missions.

Victor (thinking): “Ah, this Laandgrab place is what I call a home, if it weren’t for all the death traps I would consider moving in. Look at how active she is now, nothing like a bit of looting to build character in the youth.”

Victor and Maeve do everything on the second trip together so she can get some help with moving statues and disarming traps. They successfully return with Maeve on visa level three, a nectar maker and six new kinds of grape to plant in the garden.

It turned out eating ambrosia was not as easy as Victor first imagined, a sim must be very gifted with godlike powers in a skill to even be able to digest the divine food. Two days to becoming an elder Arthur has all other immortal criteria done but still lacks three electronic repairs needed to become supermaxed in the handiness skill.

His deceased mother really does her best to help her son by breaking a computer every time she comes back to haunt. Usually this ghost behaviour is annoying but in this case it might help save the whole dynasty.

When Arthur goes to visit his old friend Ramiro Landgraab he gets his own encounter with death as Malcolm suddenly dies of old age upstairs. Malcolm was married to Bebe Hart who died a few days before him.

Death: "So another one of those aspiring immortals is here I see. Its not going very well for you is it, mr Mad Scientist. You might as well just give up now and accept that you are a mortal like any other respectable sim would do."

Arthur: "Oh no, he’s right. Its pointless when electric object won’t break even if I know how to fix them. But wait, is that a broken TV I see? Yes it is; I’m back in the game!"

Maeve's young adult birthday turns out to be the same day as Arthur’s elder birthday but since he doesn’t want to party as much, they make the party just for her friends Krissy Paul, Stefan Haley, Elaine Daniels and Bubba Bachelor (not in this picture). Krissy is from a family that recently moved in to the old Goth manor.

Surprise guest at the party is Cycl0n Sw0rd that Victor had assumed was dead a long time age by now and he becomes curious if Cycl0n also somehow found a way to immortality.

This proves not to be the case as going to the immortals house party seems to have somehow drawn death’s attention to poor Cycl0n who dies while eating cake. The party never quite recovers after that and is judged to have been bad.

Arhur also chooses that extremely inappropriate moment to celebrate his own birthday but somehow due to the confusion he doesn’t actually age up right then.

Nice update.  I hate it when sims die, but, if you not immortal, guess you can't live forever.  Keep up the great work and will be looking forward to more updates. ;D

I thank everyone for reading and commenting. Saltypaws, I also find it sad when they die and it got kind of freaky right after they returned from France - a lot of neighbours died the first few days like the area had been hit by a plague or something.

During the chaotic party Maeve aged up and suddenly realized that she has feelings for her childhood friend Bubba. He had been feeling lonely since his parents Mortimer and Bella recently died so she offered him to move in. The following hours they fell in love and she gathered her courage and proposed to him right there without even dropping the ring. He was so surprised he almost fell of the edge.

This is how Maeve turned out as a young adult. Her traits are now friendly, clumsy, family-oriented, natural cook and over-emotional and her LTW becomes culinary librarian.

Arthur suddenly stops being glitchy and wakes up later that night and ages to elder with Tosha as his only company. He is in a pretty good mood since only one electric repair stands between him and immortality.

Tosha also ages up when coming out of the shower the next day which leaves the rest of the family stuck in the door when the try to congratulate her. She looks unhappy for a while but then runs out to play with the sprinklers the rest of the night. Those have been her obsession ever since they got them, I think it might be her loves the outdoors trait that is doing it.

She has had a normal job as a police officer for a couple of weeks now. I thought too many people in town were unemployed so I had Tosha getting and then quitting a number of jobs so they became hired as co-workers. Her old LTW before it changed to visionary was dynamic DNA-profiler so she stayed with the law enforcement career, only taking a few days off whenever she needs to paint and sculpt.

The new generation three spouse Bubba turned out to be a bit of an odd character. The first day he spends whatever free time he gets nervously checking the stove and crying whenever he sees a dead plant. He turns out to be blond when his hair grows out and his traits are neurotic, brave, athletic, green thumb and childish. He likes the colour purple, egyptian music and dim sum.
