Debate Captains?

My sim wants to debate captains with someone but no matter how long I talk I can't get the option to come up. I even had her talk to her twin who is also a geek and wasn't able to get the option to come up. Am I missing something or just not being patient enough?

You need a fellow geek, and start by "discuss interest" - after that you will see "debate best captain" option shows up.  Doesn't work on non-geek sim, both sims have to be geek.

Since this is a geek thing, I'm guessing it's a riff on Dr. Who. Like, people debate who's the best doctor, so this is the Sim version. Just thought that was funny.

This topic just sent me to google to research what captains you were talking about. It was an entertaining read. Thanks for sharing what I would have cast aside as simply "a geek thing" for geeks to talk about.

It is somewhat amazing that people who were part of creating Sims 4 managed to incorporate these little tidbits. Especially the book Titles. Most have history or tied up with some movie or books in real life. I hope we get to discover all these little surprises. If there is someone willing to make a separate topic on this perhaps?
