This last update has me dying with laughter. Where do I begin? Maybe with Derik holding his belly or that evil bus driver? No. Its all about Crazy. Even Crazy is looking at Metro like he's...well, crazy!!

Metro’s Fleshapalooza Birthday Party

Could I actually stay on the honor roll for 3 whole days while still pulling stunts like putting the bust of my high school’s founder on a toilet? And how about the time I put crickets inside the briefcase of my English comp teacher? Yeah, I guess I still can! WOOT! 1000 more happiness points...



My repertoire of jokes was expanding nicely. I could now choose between Knock knock...who’s there? Banana, Why did the chicken cross the road?, and since mom was a professional writer, I thought she’d get a laugh from a brand new one...



Metro: “What’s black and white and read all over?”
EeyoreWrite: “Oh, don’t tell me...don’t tell me...I’ve heard this one. Ugh. I give up.”
Metro: “A newspaper.”
EeyoreWrite: “OMG! No, I have not heard that one. Hilarious.”

I told mom that same joke 8 more times and she laughed just as hard every time. Apparently, they were the more potent Inside Jokes since we were in the TV room.

Hey, I learned something new (always a plus). Just as a Sim’s response to Romantic socials (Flirty > Very Alluring > Extremely Irresistible) unlocks new Romantic socials, there are different Funny socials that unlock as the joke telling Sim also receives increasing favorable response (Amusing > Funny > Hilarious). I just never paid attention to that fact before. I put this to the test with Recipe. Since he was gardening in the front yard I knew an Inside Joke would fall flat so I had to shift gears on the fly...



Metro: “If you’re standing outside...what’s black and white and read all over?”
Recipe: “An ice sculpture?”
Metro: “Nope. It’s a newspaper that is outside.”
Recipe: “A Money Tree? A photograph? I give up.”

I pulled out all the stops with Recipe and kept telling joke after joke until he thought I was hilarious. It was time for the show-stopper and I did my best Impersonate Celebrity. The funny thing is he joined right in and didn’t realize both of us were impersonating him...



I looked in Metro’s Relationships tab and noticed that Angelique now had 5 traits. Whoops! No more huggy face, kissy-poo until I aged up to Young Adult too. But, that did not stop me from inviting her over for lots of older woman Friendly Hugs.



Metro: “Ah, sweet memories...remember a few days ago when we made out in the park? Great times. Now look at you, Angelique — all 6 inches taller than me and off-limits and stuff.”

By nothing short of an act of God, I graduated from high school. My whole grouped-up family came for the graduation ceremony which was special. The ceremony was held in the playground because...well...because there is no football field and bleachers.



Metro: “I graduated from high school and can enter the Political career in just a couple days. Sweet! Look, mom...no hands this time...Weeeeee!!!”

Since no one had recently died and since there is no pool at Manly Estates, it’s only logical that I called to host a swimming suit Funeral to celebrate my Young Adult age-up.



Metro: “Thank you all for coming to my inaugural Fleshapalooza Funeral/Birthday Party. Let’s bow our heads for a moment...”
“Friends...we are gathered here today to pay final respects to my Teenage years. Now, if you all would please open your hymnals and turn to the last page. Let’s raise our voices together and sing Alice Cooper’s “I’m 18.”

Crazy: “POLO!”

My last trait given at this age-up was Ambitious. For me to become Leader of the Free World is pretty much beyond Ambitious. More like Yeah Rightiss, or Fat Chanciss. But, Ambitious will certainly help me climb the political ladder. Here I am when my definition of a six-pack had nothing to do with a cold brewski.



Angelique was at the top of the guest list, but she never came inside for the party. So, I finished my cake, marked my territory a la Recipe, and walked outside. There she was at the front door. And a big WOOT! for the Romantic socials magically appearing again. It’s almost like she was waiting for me to kiss her (artistic embellisment)...



Metro: “Oh, hi dad. (Mmmwaaa) Help yourself to some cake inside. This is...(Mmmwaaa) Angelique (Mmmwaa).”

Remember the gag where I got the Leader of the Free World LTW as I was kissing Angelique in the park? It gets better. As I was trying to give her a tonsillectomy in the photo above I got the wish to join the Political career! It’s just too funny.

It didn’t take long for Recipe to crank out a nice Young Adult Masterpiece portrait for Metro’s museum. This one was worth around 9k...



Recipe: “Thanks for unwrapping yourself from Angelique for a couple minutes.”
Metro: “Angelique! Oh, my gosh. Her lips are probably cold by now. Gotta go!”

Okay, Man fans...we’re in the home stretch now. It’s Sunday, Day 1 of Week 50. Time for Metro to make tracks for City Hall and join the Political Career. I did just that and quickly discovered that my boss is Tamsen Eckert. The Eckerts have been around a LOOONG time in Sunset Valley. They’re not original townies, but Natalie Eckert is the same generation as Queenie Man (Recipe’s daughter) — so, we’re really going back a ways. Natalie had 2 kids, Kareem and Rosalie. Kareem became a Man and fathered Crazy. Rosalie had 4 kids, one of whom is my new boss, Tamsen. So, these 4 kids of Rosalie Eckert are actually the same generation as Crazy, but they’re all vampires which explains their longevity.

So, I stepped out onto City Hall’s front steps — fresh from joining the Political career. I was nervous and excited at the same time. This was a huge step up from Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was confident and ready to begin bright and early the very next day. I was going to prove to Tamsen Eckert that she did not make a mistake by hiring me. The first thing I wanted to implement was a neighborhood militia group to make my Shock and Awe Podium Polishers become reality. The 2nd item on my initial agenda was to return to basics with some education reform legislation entitled Your Child Loves Behind.

Ok, here we are at Generation 8.  We all know what that means - the end isn't far off.  Am I the only one who finds something a wee bit ominous in the fact that Gen 8 is Metro Man, and his LTW is to take over the free world?  What will he do with all that power?  What dastardly plan is  he cooking up?   Be afraid, be very afraid!  (I hope it's obvious that this comment is being made with tongue planted firmly in cheek.)

As with all great stories, I am both eagerly awaiting further developments and at the same time not wanting it to end.
