That's for sure! Thanks goodness, I don't think my heart could take another baby daddy mystery! 

Ha ha. Naw...mysteries and quizzes will not be found here. That's Pam's gig — just like you won't ever see Carina Dreamweaver hawking products in an infomercial. That's my gig.  But, I am going to say I had quite a shocker tonight. I played close to 10 hours today! Absolutely a marathon day. I'm trying to get as much ground covered as I can before the Tournament starts on Monday. Sound is now a Young Adult and married. When his wife was added to the Man household I immediately did some investigating on her stats. My jaw dropped open. I'll write it all up tomorrow morning. I'm exhausted and need some sleep.

Sporty's Almost Done / Sound Hits a Flat Note

The 2011 Tournament begins on Monday. I would love to finish this Dynasty before that, but it’s highly unlikely. I’m playing like an absolute madman right now. High speed practically all the time. Immortals that are completely done are shuffled into the TV room and plopped in front of the TV all day long. Then, all I have to do is focus on the couple Sims that need their requirements attended to. I just want to get this done. So, the comedy bits may take a slight back seat, folks. Those slow me down too.

Here we go — lots of ground to cover...the first newsworthy item is Sporty maxing her Sports career and achieving her Lifetime Wish as well. Actually, she achieved her LTW (level 9 in the Sports career) the day before she maxed her career. I don’t get that — those Lifetime Wishes where you only need to get to level 9. Science is the same way. You can hear the meeting at EA —
“Okay, let’s have a Lifetime Wish for someone to max the Pro Sports career. Let’s see a show of hands.”
“NO WAY!!! That’s way too tough and would take extra weeks, maybe even months! It can only be level 9.”



With only 3 days left in his Teen stage and no Romantic Interests at all, I was becoming a little concerned for Sound. It’s not exactly my fault — I’ve had him choose “Meet New Friends” as his school tone practically every day and yet he has one female classmate...a vampire. Sound has had a few tip playing sessions in front of the Theatre, so I began looking through his Relationships tab. He has a ton of Acquaintances — I just have no idea if they’re Young Adult or Adult. One pretty woman in the list caught my eye and I tracked her down in Map view and sent Sound over to her house. This is Maria Darden...



There’s something about the combination of really dark hair and lighter eyes for a woman that makes me weak in the knees. Maria is just lovely. Sound is still a Teen in the photo, so no Romantic socials are possible, but he worked and worked and worked on Maria and pushed the relationship quite high. Coincidentally, Maria lives in the same house where Recipe attempted to woo Bella Bachelor way back when and was turned down.

A couple days passed, and Sound aged up to Young Adult...



Now, he’s ready for Maria and our young Romeo made a beeline for Maria’s house. He started quickly with the simple Romantic socials...



Sound: “Maria, what’s your sign?”
Maria: “Danger—Slow Administrators Ahead.”

Sound completely ignored all warnings signs that the beautiful Maria was holding up. He just steamrolled right into her heart...



They were married in Maria’s bathroom (what the heck is it about bathrooms and Man marriages?) and minutes later both were automatically boxed up and shipped back to Manly Estates...



Now...ready for the shocker I alluded to last night? Maria was now under my control, so I took a quick peek at her stats. Holy cow! Maria is due to age up to Elder in 8 days!!!

I whispered in Sound’s ear what the ramifications of this discovery means. He acted fast and picked up his bride and ran so quickly into the nearest bedroom that skidmarks were left on the entryway tile. Ummm...hold the phone. No, he didn’t. He dropped Maria on the floor and stared at me with an angry look and yelled, ““Why did you even waste my time having me marry this beatiful woman if she CAN’T GET PREGNANT?!”

Sheesh. That’s right, Man fans, I can make Dynasty-sized mistakes too. Maria cannot get pregnant. Oops. There’s already 8 Sims in the house. What does this mean? It means all of you get to laugh your butts off (hey, I would too) and wrapping this up is now going to take even longer. There’s no sense in Sound even looking for the REAL mother of generation #7 until Isaiah and Maria both die. Until then, Maria can sit back and watch TV with everyone else.

Is it bad that I feel so much better now knowing you can make mistakes too. One of the easiest ways to find out at the very least if someone is an adult or young adult is to throw a party. When the list pops up for who to invite their age range will pop when you click on a Sim.

I hope Maria enjoys her elder years watching TV with the Mans.

"How old are you?" would be great. But, what would be better is a little more info gleaned from the standard "Get to Know" social. I'd happily accept that social lengthening to the "Deep Conversation" length is it means gaining more info — more traits, age, etc.

I figured you would know that but I also figured that some people might not know it and as your dynasty story gets a lot of views I thought it would be a good way to inform people.
I agree there should be a social to find out someones age.

LOL. Yeah, Recipe wrote the book on stalking, didn't he? I foresee a bit with both of them going to the high school and Recipe offering his sage advice.

Aww Man! That is not cool!  I didn't laugh my butt off, I was like Oh NO!! I do that too, play for hours without sleep! Right now life is intruding on my sim time, but everyone knows how that is! Lets just hope Maria isn't one of those sims that like living to over 100!

Yeah, let's cross our fingers on that one, Esther. The good news is there isn't any kind of deadline to bring in the next immortal. So, Maria could live to be 200 and Sound would be long done with his Ambrosia requirements and just waiting for her to kick off. I suppose the only upside to my bonehead mistake is the Museum will be worth a little more since I'm stretching things a bit.

I don't know about skyrocket, but they'll be worth more. Isaiah turned Elder the same day Maria came into the house. Maria is due to age up to Elder in 8 days, so all things being equal (which rarely happens) I added 8 days to my game time because Sound could not have gotten another Sim pregnant until Isaiah died anyway. We'll see. I'm not unhappy really. It was just a DOH! kind of thing. It allows me to totally focus on Sound's career and completing the tough Guitar Star Challenge.

Oh my goodness! You're attempting guitar with Sound? I don't know how I'm going to be doing the skills, but I do know I won't be attempting to supermax guitar! I've only done it once and it took 9 weeks with only that skill. You are a brave man to attempt it on this Dynasty! Good luck!
