I leave with my family to visit with my mom next Thursday, so I'll try and do an update right before we leave. But, it's all of these comedy bits I come up with that are so time consuming to flesh out and write. So, don't be surprised if I just speed play to get to generation #5 and leave the comedy for another day. I have a ton of stuff to do in the next week, so my creativity will probably take a back seat.

A Sporty Update, But Not Much on the Comedy

I mentioned yesterday that the comedy bits and creativity that pretty much define how I’m approaching this whacked out Dynasty might have to take a back seat, just to allow me to focus on other more important tasks in my life (like cleaning our filthy house!). So, I apologize in advance, but this one’s going to be a bit dry. A ton of stuff has happened. I plowed through a lot of ground yesterday and early this morning and never really came up for air, so here we go...

Only two things needed to be accomplished for Girly to eat Ambrosia since the last update: she needed to hit celebrity level 5 to finish her Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous LTW and hit the cap in the Business career. The Business career, not surprisingly was the easier of the two. Hitting level 5 celebrity status was really tough and took a long time. Bridgeport seems to be swimming with high level celebs compared to Sunset Valley. All you have to do is become Best Friends with a few of them and you’re done, but with no level 5 celebs (to my knowledge) in Sunset Valley, Girly had to jump through all of those stupid hoops and do a million celebrity opportunities. That was not enjoyable and quite tedious. But, she did it. Now, it’s just a question of Girly aging up to Elder in 3 days and having Recipe do her museum pieces and then she’ll be ready for Ambrosia.

On to Crazy. If you’ve ever attempted to do all of the Inventing Challenges, then you know how long it takes. Pam told me it was a snap for one of her Dynasty immortals thanks to long vacations. Yeah, no kidding. That’s essentially giving yourself a ton of free time, and the diehard in me did not want that cushion — and no, I’m not passing judgement on Pam or others that use vacations for skilling. I just did not want to do that myself.

But, the reality is that I was beginning to wonder if I would actually finish all of the Inventing challenges in a reasonable amount of time. Crazy has finished a few of them, but it will probably be close to when he turns Adult as to when he finishes the scrap one and the Ultimate Invention one. But, I was surprised how quickly Crazy zoomed through the Inventing career. Opportunities were another concern I had with Crazy. I ended up having Crazy take a couple of Athletic  ops just to get the 6 finished. What’s the deal with absolutely 0 Invention skill ops? I don’t know what’s up with that.

Crazy and Danica were quickly married the moment Crazy aged up to YA. Danica is almost 2 weeks older than Crazy, but that’s not a big concern. I had Crazy Invent around the clock (Masterful Flying Fighters) to finish his Inventing career their first few days of marraige, and then Crazy turned to Danica for a little Man-style personal Inventing of his own — baby making. The result....Sporty Man. If this little girl turns out as pretty as her mom, she’ll have legions of fans cheering for her at Llama Stadium.

Is that Crazy with the wild hair and the beard?  Wow!  I got several inventor opportunities.  A couple wanted me to make a certain number of inventions and take them to someone. Of course, there's the SimBot opportunity, too.  Scarlet ended up doing other opportunities to qualify because I was worried about the invention opportunities, too, but they did come.

Crazy just freaked out when I showed him what you posted. I took a screenshot of Sporty today when she aged up to a Toddler. She's cute, but most Sim Toddlers are anyway. The acid test will a close-up at the Child and Teen stage.
