Girly is All Business...and Who the Heck is This Crazy Man?

Girly aged up to Young Adult and if you think she looked like Queen, Jamila, and Nancy before, then take a gander at her now...



Girly is sporting her nice “Be My Husband” outfit. I actually gave Girly the same bun hairstyle as Great Grandma Nancy Landgraab. I like it. Very dignified. She just joined the Business career, so it’s fitting for a future Power Broker. If memory serves me, Nancy Landgraab is always thrown into the Business career too so we might as well carry on the tradition. The big guy on the receiving end of Girly’s romantic advances is Kareem Eckert.

And here’s future hubby again...using his enormous biceps to push open the door of Doo Peas Corporate Towers as both he and Girly start their careers as Coffee Couriers. Yeah, that's right...Kareem just happened to be in the same career as Girly. Kind of cool the way that worked out. Girly’s future Immortality disqualifies her from permanent status in the Rear Museum, but that does not prevent me from taking a crack at showing off her assets elsewhere.



Another coincidence with Girly’s career — Malcolm “Count Grabula” Landgraab is actually one of Girly’s co-workers. He must have been turned early because if you recall — Jamila was his younger sister.

I have not shown a large scale shot of the museums in a while. The building in the back is of course, everyone say it together...the REAR Museum. And the building in front is the Front Museum with the Immortals’ items. Recipe’s are first, then Queen at the bend, and then moving to the left is Girly. I’m not sure yet where I’ll continue and extend the museum.



Girly asks “How Many Fingers am I Holding Up?” Eckert to be her Man and he accepts. Still wearing his Coffee Courier uniform he gives Girly one of his patented Mocha Latte bear hugs.



In a beautiful and intimate ceremony in front of the Manly Estates mailbox (hey, remember Recipe and Agnes’ wedding?) Kareem and Girly waste no time in getting even closer. Ladies, correct me if I’m wrong, but when a big, muscular teddy bear of a guy gently strokes your cheek...



...what’s going to happen? Well, the way I see it you either could flip out and say, “Stop it! That tickles me!” Or, if your name is Girly Man you’ll be sprinting for the nearest bedroom and eating apples within 3 hours...



Badaboom badabing...what happens 3 days later? Crazy Man is born and Sunset Valley will never be the same. Even Crazy’s Great Grandma Jimala and her great granny panties showed up to see the new baby.

I must assume that he has Insane? When I think of Crazy a certain career path springs to mind but I am not sure and won't say since I think Metro will have some amazingly funny Drama attached to Crazy getting his goal.

Yeah, I gave him Insane and Absent-Minded at birth. Emperor of Evil and maybe a "crazy inventor" spring to mind. I'm honestly not sure what to do with him yet.

That was a superb update, Metro!  Just as soon as one giggle tapered off, another one started.  I love the Mans.

I gave my inventor the insane trait I think it comes in handy when the poor Sim is left alone all the time with just a work bench for company. They won't get lonely when they can talk to themselves.

A DeMANding Remodel of Manly Estates

Well, I’ve been putting it off for weeks...literally weeks of real time and weeks of game time. I’m talking about a Man-sized remodeling of Manly Estates. I hate remodeling and designing and would rather do almost anything else. But, I could not put it off anymore. There were simply too many Mans bumping into each other. Pam told me she had something like 4 or 5 levels at the Dreamweaver estate. Forget that. Not for me. I want everything on ground level, so I made an enormous, expanded version of what I originally had in my Inside Manly Estates update.

I want simplicity. Everyone does not need their own sleeping quarters. Yes, in real life, we all want that, but for me this is different. I made the front left bedroom enormous enough to sleep 6 comfortably. Recipe is by himself and Queen will be by herself soon enough, so they can just grab single beds. A couple can grab available double beds and use those for Woohoo as well. Whatever designated primary caregiver I assign to the baby in the house has easy access to the young one by sleeping right in the same room as the child. As the child gets older, they can just stay in the same room where there’s a desk for homework and plenty of toys.

I expanded the bathroom that’s attached to the big bedroom and the kitchen. There’s plenty of toilets and showers/tubs to go around for everyone. The kitchen was expanded enough too to put in the extra long dining room table so there’s room for more expansion in the house. The dark red room to the right of the kitchen is a simple entertainment room with seating for 6. To the right of that is Recipe's sculpting/painting studio.

I did a completely new concept for the Immortal's Museum and that was that every immortal is going to get their own separate building. I like this idea because it's organized better and I'll clearly see from an overhead perspective of what needs to be done. There's plenty of room to the left of the Rear Museum to add more Immortal's buildings.

So, that's pretty much where 4 hours of my life went today. Admittedly, the main house is now just a big box compared to the previous design which at least had some angles, but I like this one more and now at least there's lots of room and some pretty landscaping to look at.

I like it Metro! I myself hate angles and stuff as well! I love building big open spaces lol but adding rooms tends to make it look less like a box!

I love those money trees in front!  The concept of everyone sharing one big bedroom and bathroom is understandable, but I wonder if it will work in reality with your Sims.  I don't think a couple will woohoo with other Sims sleeping in the room.  And will they take a shower in the same room if they aren't married?  The bathroom stalls will work fine, but I don't know about the showers.  Have you already had success with it?

No, of course they won't. That's not a big issue. For single Sims (Recipe and soon Queen), they just find their fun via TV or whatever. The married couples Woohoo in the double beds when only they are in the room. Again, not a problem at all. It's just a question of timing.

And will they take a shower in the same room if they aren't married?

No. At the moment Girly is the only Man (heh heh, that sounded funny) that punches a clock. So, she has priority in the morning to clean up before heading to the Business office. Everyone else takes showers whenever, so it's not really too much of an issue. This simpler system of community living has been working really well.

EDIT: Oops. I forgot about Kareem. For now he's in the Business career too. I never concern myself much with spouses to be honest. But he showers at the same time as Girly with no issues obviously.
