Program Lock in Travel mode

This is happening every 2nd or third time I try to travel. I get the message Sims 4 has stopped working. It doesn't matter where I try to travel or with which sim.
I save a lot now - - but it's irritating to keep locking up.

Any one else have this?  Any ideas what I might try? (yesterday I erased all my families, households in library etc.  and today I started brand new with a new Mom and Dad created in CAS).  Think reinstalling would make a difference?

Play offline.  Make sure testingcheats is off.  Pray, (or cuss once again).  I have the same issue and these things "help" but not cure.

I'm not sure if this will help. I read this on an article with people using the illegal version of sims 4. But it still might help us who bought the game legally.

Before travelling, pause your game. Press M. This will make the map appear. Select destination and whoever you want to travel with. I also use M when travelling as it is easier compared to selecting the phone icon for travelling.

If this doesn't work, playing offline will be your best bet as the game usually plays faster on offline mode.
