I need help naming the next generation. I have decided to leave the babies gender up to fate. So far in this dynasty I have only selected the gender of Bronte and Esk the others were random.
For a girls name I was thinking of going down the jewel route something like Peridot or Saphire. For boys names maybe jewels too but all I can think of is Jasper.

Sapphire has 2 P's in it.  I went through jewel names in my old Dreamweaver Legacy:  Diamond, Amethyst, Sapphire, Emerald.  You could use Onyx for a boy.  Or maybe Garnet.  I also went through the seasons:  Winter, Summer, and Spring.  I didn't have a 4th one for Autumn.  In one of the Baby Boomer challenges, I used the months of the year.  I had exactly 12 kids in that one, too!  I just went through the months in order regardless of the gender.

Thanks Pam. I thought I had spelled Sapphire wrong. I will get the Doctor Kumquat to confirm the gender next time I play that should make it a little easier to choose a name.

For a girl you could use: Jade, Ruby, Zirconia, Azure, Crystal, Opal, Emerald, Pearl, Amber, Beryl or Turquoise.

And boys (I'll give you some metal names too): Copper, Onyx, Steele or Jett.

Or unisex: Topaz, Garnet or Mica.

I just played for an hour and the silly game crashed to desk top. Luckily nothing much happened we found out that Esk was having a boy. Does anyone know if she will still have a boy when I play the game again.

Jerod's flirty trait may be a problem.

Here he is autonomously flirting with Hebe.

Here is he flirting with Bronte.  The more worrying thing is that they both flirted back.

Sunset also popped up a wish to go skinny dipping with Jerod. I was like my god woman he is your son in law!

Maybe putting a virile young man in a house full of elderly widow women was not such a good idea.

Ha ha ha, he's so dead! Maybe the best punishment would be to leave him on Hebe's mercy. And then if something is left of him, let Bronte end his misery ;D Rachel you made laugh out loud and thank you for that! I love your sense of humor.

Esk had a pretty normal pregnancy.

Her hormones got the better of her,so she blew a few things up.

She consulted a doctor.

She still managed to look glamorous even in the later stages of pregnancy.

She got pregnancy brain and forgot to get dressed.

She err.. what you never saw a heavily pregnant lady wearing an evening gown use a miner before.

Finally the time came for the newest Smith to arrive.

Esk: Ow I hate you I hate you I hate you!
Jerod: Oh my god your in labour.
Esk: Oh well done Sherlock
Jerod: Do you want me to hold your hand?
Esk: It was holding your hand that got me in to this mess in the first place.
At this point they decided to go to the hospital.

The Smith family would like to announce the arrival of sixth generation heiress Peridot Smith.

Hebe proudly carries her great great great grandaughter to the birthday cake.

Peridot inherits her mothers hair colouring and her grandfathers eye colour. It looks like she has the Smith mouth.
