URGENT - Menu Problems
« on: October 15, 2010, 09:23:22 AM »
I've got a seriously big problem.
I open my Sims 3, and it loads and then it comes to the main menu, where you can choose families or create a new game.
But instead of that menu coming up, the menu comes up in the format of creating a new game, with the options of like Twinbrook or Sunset Valley or whatever.
I re-loaded it, but there was the same result.
I restarted my Mac, and tried again. Same problem.
I shut down my Mac, and left it that way for a five minutes.
Then I reopened, and the same problem.
This is a serious problem for me.
Also: I've just had my dvd-drive fixed, and my graphics are on medium, I also didn't have any other large programs running like my Photoshop CS5 extend or anything.
You may also like to know: My disc is fine, and when I first played it, after I got my computer back (an hour after it was fixed) it was fine, but it was a bit jutty, meaning: stop-start very quickly. Like: stop.......start - Plays for a while - stop............start.
So...any help?
Should i install my Ambitions and reinstall?
Any help is really helpful.

This seems to be coincidental, Jeff. Did you notice this new problem the first time playing Sims after your DVD drive was supposedly fixed?

No, it wasn't the first time. I played it for about half an hour before I quit because I had to run another big program.
It was the second.

How many save files did you have and how did the game exit to desktop? Did the game crash while saving or the like?
