10 ways to die

Not sure if these have been brought up before, but I found a list of the 10 ways our sims can die over on SimsVIP You can read the full details here
The ways are Electrocution, Hunger, Fire, Rocket Ship Crash Landing, Old Age, Overexertion, Cowplant, Embarrassment, Anger, and Hysteria.

I found out about the overexertion the other day. My sim was a bit of a lady killer (literally) and was wooing an elder friend. He invited her to stay the night and proposed to her. They celebrated with a wild night, but unfortunately, it was too much for her and Grim came for her. My sim was heartbroken and cried for days.. he even watered his plants with his tears!

Yikes. I've had a lot of rocket ship crashes without any problem beyond being dazed for a while, I think I need to be more cautious. Love the overexertion story!

Poor sim! My elder often get the very tired moodlet (after a hard night you know) and it says on the moodlet that he needs to relax or it might kill him - so this should be pretty easy to monitor - or no? Did you get any warning before she passed on?

Dying of Embarassment and anger? What in the...? lol how can you die of embarrassment? I really want to see that happen. Can sort of understand anger because you get hyped up when you are angry and could have a heart attack or something. But what the heck is cowplant? lol

Cowplant is a special plant that is like a cow head on top of a bean stalk. When it needs nourishment it can take out a cake that it lures sims in with. When the sims tries to eat the cake the cowplant swallows them. Sometimes it spits the sim out, and sometimes it eats them. That is death by cowplant.

That is so wrong lol. I saw the article and saw the cowplant. So... so wrong.

Is death by laughter included in hysteria? If not, that is a way to die too. Can't have too fun, you know!

Yes, Hysteria is death by laughter.  You have to calm your Sim down before they get too Hysterical, or they die.

So how many times have any of you said, "It was so hilarious I just died laughing.", or "I could just die from embarrassment?"  Now it's all too real and I for one am not happy about it.  No death flowers!  How can we even do a dynasty with no deathfish and death flowers and life fruit?, and now we have even more threats to life?  Ok, I admit, it might just be funny to see someone die from laughter.  Maybe.

What are you guys doing that you're having people die of laughter or embarrassment?  I haven't had it happen but I'm wondering if you have to push it.

There are some hints about a book of life (you can do once you max either writing career or writing skill), I hope we see some information about it soon. It could be like the death flower - I hope!

Ooooo!  That would be cool.  However, the skill books are a royal pain so I wonder if a "Life" book would be efficient or act like a death flower does.  If like a death flower that would be great.
