I've noticed when I switch control of households, sometimes when I go back to a previous one, sims in relationships will suddenly have romance bars with sims they didn't have them with the last time I played them. Aside from this feeling a lot like story progression in a game that isn't supposed to have it, I can't figure out how to get rid of it. There's no equivalent of "ask to be just friends" that I can find, unless I'm missing something. Have any of you been able to get rid of a romance bar without just being awkward with unwanted flirting? That's the only way I know of to make it go down, but I don't like doing that kind interaction, as it feels a bit creepy.
