Have you found a book for Confidence?
« on: September 10, 2014, 04:59:46 PM »
Maybe I've looked past it, but I can't seem to find a book that boosts confidence. If anyone knows which book does so, let me know please. I know that finishing a book can boost confidence, but I was wondering if there was one of the emotion boosting books for it.

For an easy confidence boost, try brushing your Sims teeth. It's a 3h buff and pretty quick!

Yea, plus you can drink Early Grey, Hot from the Tea maker for a 4 hour buff. I was just wondering if there was a book for it, or not.

There is a confidence boosting book that a sim with writing skills can write on the computer.  They have to be confident to write it though! But least once it's written any other sim can quickly read it and become confident.

If you babysit your sim, you can make it drink the tea faster ( or any other beverage). The drinking routine is for the sim to take a sip ( starting the drinking process) and 3 more sips to finish the cup. The sim will pause between the sips and will either engage in another activity or will just sit there. If you put the sim to do something between the sips ( like view/admire a painting) and the next second you cancel the extra activity, the sim will take the next sip. So you can have any drink in 30 min or less.

"Tea, Earl Grey, Hot" gives a confidence boost?  Reading that made me laugh.  That has to be a reference to Star Trek: The Next Generation.  The line is used by Captain Picard to order tea in many, many episodes, and he is definitely a confident character.  I haven't seen an episode in years, but I can hear Patrick Stewart's voice in my head now saying that line.

I found out that as a Writer you can write a Motivational Book which I believe boosts Confidence, when you are Confident.

There is not a purchasable book for confidence. The writer skill is the only way to get one. However, confidence has so many options that the lack of a book is not that big of a deal. Plus, you only need to be confident to write the book, you don't have to be advanced in the skill, and once you start it, you can finish it even if you lose the moodlet.
