Sims 4 - Missing Homework

I'm sure Isaw this on another thread, like hints and tips thread, but it's long buried now and I think this deserves its own thread anyway.

School age Sims don't always put their homework back in their inventories. Sometimes I find it and put it back, but this time I can't find it. Someone mentioned a way to get replacement homework, maybe on the computer. I can't see the way to do it, though. Can anyone help?

You can buy it from the bookcase -- I think it costs $1.

Yes, you can buy both school levels of homework from the bookcase.

sorry to butt in, but how do we buy the homework from the bookcase?  I don't have that option on my bookcases.

hey there,
you can buy homework book from the computer.  click order books.  it is under the children's section.  the adults have to order books then he/she places the homework on a table for the child to pick it up or do it.

If you have a kids bookcase, then I don't think you can buy from it, I noticed that in a let's play, but my low cost wall mounted bookshelf from the storage section has the buy book options.

my book cases weren't kids' bookcases.  I tried it on several i had throughout the house; however, only the adult could order the homework from the computer, but no one could get it from the bookcases.

Just to confirm what's been said here...  I tested it with my adult Sim and she was able to purchase both levels of homework both from the computer and a regular bookcase.  Click on the bookcase or computer, select Purchase, Books, click on children's books, then find the homework you want.  It costs $1.

Thanks guys.  Had my teenager order a homework book from the computer and they arrived in his inventory immediately.  This problem was annoying me SO MUCH!  Their school report was starting to slide - off to do some extra credit homework now!!  Thanks.

I've had this problem in the past.  The solution is sell or delete your current bookcases and buy new ones.  Sometimes they are glitched if they are either stolen or obtained through another Sim bringing their household goods with them.  I had moved in the Landgraab's with their furniture and all the bookcases and computers were glitched.  Replacing them solved the problem.

I've had homework go missing all the time. First, look around the house, they might've not put it back into their inventory. If you still can't find it, look into your other member's inventories. I've had homework come up missing and I later find them in someone else's inventory. If you still can't find it, click on a bookcase and purchase homework. It's only $1.
