I can't see the interface, and when I go into edit town I can't even see my sims

It shows the house as empty! Is there anyway to get them back? I work so hard on the game and I don't want all my work to be for nothing! I loved those sims and I forgot to save their household as I normally do

Is this for Sims 4? Because there is no edit town in this game. I think it's just a town map.

The Edit Town equivalent in Sims 4 is Manage Worlds from the Options Menu.  If you edit a house from there I don't think the sims are shown.  They should be there when you exit Manage Worlds.  Let me know.

When creating a family in CAS, as far as I know it's a requirement to save them to your library before proceeding to the game.

If you mean you didn't save the sims after you had moved them into the lot and all of that, there isn't a way to recover them.
