Stuck on Curator Aspiration
« on: September 08, 2014, 10:00:38 PM »
I need to complete a collection but I'm short one item in four categories and it's really frustrating trying to complete it. Any tips would be appreciated.
I need one uncommon MySim, fossil, and space rock and a rare metal.
Is collecting postcards or frogs (need a bunch of them) easier?

Postcards is easier but it takes a long time. Frogs you have to unlock certain breeds by breeding them, there's probably a guide out there you can use. I've just randomly bred frogs together for now.

I'm missing about four frogs. Guess I'll search for a guide, thanks.

Don't forget you can breed them to get some rare ones.

Yeah, I've lucked into breeding some new ones but it's hit or miss.

When you started your curator did he/she have a very small area in which to search for things to begin with?  Mine had less than a block rather than her entire neighborhood, while my gardener Sim can go everywhere.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

No, she can travel anywhere to look for stuff.

I've found all the space rocks by using a rocket to go into space, and the fossils and metals just by luck on a dig site. Same with all the My Sims little statue things. I don't know if there's a trick to it or if it's just a random chance thing. Sometimes using a treasure map brings in rare items but other times just simply using the dig option.

I've had to go to both the hidden locations though to find items.

This is getting ridiculous. Now I need one frog, one fossil, one postcard, one space rock, one MySim, one space print and one metal. I still have no complete collection. Every time I get a space rock it's either the common (6 and counting) or the rare (3). Because of the plant glitch I can't collect all the plants. Time to go fishing. Arrgghh.
