Found Cheats for Changing name, body type and ALL Traits
« on: September 07, 2014, 11:38:27 PM »
IT WORKS!

Change your Sims name, traits, aspirations, and even their bodies. Using CAS in full-feature mode:
Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheats console.
Type the following, then press enter:
testingCheats on
Type the following, then press enter:
cas.fulleditmode
Press Esc to close the console.
Now Shift + Click any of your Sims, and select Edit in CAS
Change everything from body, to traits, names, voices and so on. Once you are done, hit Okay on the bottom right to save the changes.

Some bugs
Do note that changing the Lifetime Aspiration from the CAS will add the new corresponding trait, but will not remove the previous one. For better or worse.
Sims will still use their original traits to decide on which actions to do when idle. Say, a Sim which was a Glutton but no longer is, will still try to eat as often it can. It is probable that the newly set traits do not have an impact on the way they pick actions while idle.

How do you get full edit to work?
« Reply #1 on: September 08, 2014, 05:45:12 PM »
I understand you first type in testingcheats on.  Then what do I do to be able to completely edit, body, face and all for a townie Sim my Sim married?  Where would you type in edit in full or what is the code to use?  I've tried first testingcheats, then cas.editsiminfull, then clicked on my Sim to edit but could not edit his body or face.  I also tried first testingcheats, then cas.fulledit mode but that didn't work.  What am I missing?

There is a thread here in Miscellaneous Help a few posts down that discusses how to get into CAS.

Khuckster already got a topic for cheats with full edit, so I'm merging this one with it.

So far it doesn't work.  I can edit everything except the face and body.

There is a thread about using cheats to change a sim's name. I'm merging this with that thread.

Aging
« Reply #8 on: September 11, 2014, 09:21:51 AM »
I realise this may have been asked before and if it has please point me in the right direction.

my query is this, is there a fast way of aging up a sim?

i'm at a crossroads in my current family.. the mother is an adult almost elder, the father is still a young adult and the son is still a kid... I want to hurry up and age the husband and son to adult and teen before the mother turns into an elder.

Is there some kind of cheat or trick like if you throw a birthday party with the cake and all but your sim still has 14 days to go before they reach the next stage will they actually age or just stay the same, or is there some cheat that works that will speed the process up.. I am trying to avoid splitting the family up until their ages get closer together.

anyone with ideas or who has tried it out to see if it works??

There is a thread about using cheats to change a sim's name, and it also works for changing life stages too (aging up or down).  Follow the instruction in the first post and you will be able to edit your sim in CAS to age them up.  I'm merging this with that thread.
