Man. I can't tell if meteors were a good addition or not.

You're kidding, right? I want ONE player who has fallen victim to meteor and lost hours and hours of work to say, "Thanks EA. You sure nailed it on the head with that one."

I've never played around with the ghosthunting profession before, and it's kind of interesting.  Did you know that some ghosts show up wearing period costumes?  It's kinda cool!

And who knew those ghosts were such jokesters?!

Patty's fallen for Juan Jr. Ironbeard, and who wouldn't?  He's pretty cute!  What woman doesn't love a guy in shades?

In a move that shocks both Patty and Juan Jr., they decide to tie the knot!  Will these two party hearties (one with commitment issues) have a drama free relationship?  Not likely...

But then again, Patty has grown up a bit, maybe she's finally ready for long term love.

After the whole school meteorite tragedy I really seriously considered not buying a telescope at all, which is part of the reason it's taken so long to level up Serena's logic skill.  But at this point, there's only 2 points left before she completes her LTW and I just wanna get it DONE!  And whaddya know, after just one evening of star gazing she's finally done it!  WOO HOO!!!  er... I mean YAY!!!!

Serena decides to do one more night of ghost busting before her big move, she has a fabulous upgraded banshee banisher now and she really wanted to try it out.

Oh, it's so sad to say goodbye!

Serena:  Well, goodbye Juan Jr.  I wish I had been able to get to know you better, but it's time for me to move on...
Juan Jr.:  Yeah, no problem, Dude!  Hey, did you catch my new licks on the guitar last night?  RADICAL!!!
Serena:  Yeah, the whole neighborhood heard you, pretty sure I'll still hear you from my new house.
Juan Jr.: AWESOME!!!

As a parting gift, Serena left a new piece of furniture in her old room.  She had a feeling her sister would need it soon.

Then Serena headed downtown to buy herself some new outfits.  When she got home her sister was excited to help out with some new makeup too!

It was time.

Serena invited Phillip over to "hang out", and as soon as he got in the door she popped the question!

Phillip barely got the word "YES!!!" out of his mouth when Serena whipped out her phone dialing all their friends inviting them to meet down at the beach in oh... say... 20 minutes?

That night, Serena slept in her new bed, in her new house, with her new love.

I just thought I'd take a break from the narration to introduce you to Serena's new family, the Annan's.  All of the family members DESPERATELY needed new outfits, they were all mismatched and terrible.  Once that was complete, I was able to get some pictures.  :)

First of all, there's Phillip.  His traits are over-emotional, absent-minded, virtuoso, hydrophobic, and artistic.  His LTW is to become a Master of the Arts.  So far he has 2 points in guitar, 3 in fishing, and 6 in handiness.  To bad he couldn't have 6 points in something that might actually help complete his LTW.  He's currently unemployed, although his hair do really makes me want to enroll him in the music career.

His parents are Finn & Flora.  Finn is absent-minded, easily impressed, coward, genius, and angler.  His LTW is to be a Star News Anchor, currently he's working in the athletic career as a rabid fan (level 1).  He has 6 fishing and 6 handiness points.  No writing skills at all.  *sigh*  I sense a theme, and may have my work cut out for me!

Flora is a great kisser, bookworm, green thumb, lucky, and handy.  Her LTW is to become a 5 Star Chef, and check it out!  She's actually in the culinary career, at level 3 she has a long way to go though.  She also only has 2 cooking points, and some other useless points in athletic and guitar.

Phillip has 1 older sister and 2 younger sisters.  Fern is the oldest.  She is neat, never-nude, childish (uh oh!), charismatic, and athletic.  She wants to complete the Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers LTW.  She is unemployed, and has 10 logic, 10 handiness, and 5 cooking... none of which help complete her LTW.  *sigh*

Just barely into her Young Adulthood, Fawn is just slightly younger than Phillip.  She has a good sense of humor, savy sculptor, party animal, perfectionist, and snob traits.  Her LTW is to be a CEO, and she has 9 painting, 4 guitar, and 2 handiness points.  She is currently unemployed.

Daisy is the youngest of the family.  She actually aged up from teen to young adult during Philip & Serena's wedding party so I was able to quickly choose a LTW for her.  She hates the outdoors, and is a good, hydrophobic, grumpy, genius.  I picked the International Super Spy for her, at the time I only knew that she was a genius and I thought with such a large family it might be easier to pick a rabbit hole job for her.  Her only skill is 1 point in cooking.

So that's Serena's new family!  At this point in the game, my current goal is to get Serena pregnant, get all the family members into appropriate careers (even though Finn & Flora probably have no chance of completing their LTW, I'd still like to give it a shot), and start setting them up to work on skills that might actually help them reach their LTW.  For each sim that completes their LTW before Serena's baby ages to young adulthood I get a bonus point.  So far my score is at 1, and with such a large family I have the chance of raising that score quite a bit.  :)

Ok, so your first Sim moved into the next alphabetical household through marriage.  This is probably all in your rules, but if you wouldn't mind clarifying again...  who will be the Sim to leave the Annan household?  And when do you target which one it will be?

The sim to leave the Annan house will be Phillip & Serena's baby.  So I'll be playing the Annan's for a while.  You pretty much play each family for 1 full generation.

This sounds like fun :D . I may try this, but let me see first if I got the rules straigt:

  • From generation 2 on, the person to move to the next house is always the firstborn/first adopted child of the one who moved into this household, right?
  • If no liftetime wishes are filled before the heir has aged to young adult, does that generation still get one point the moment the first ltw is fulfilled?
  • If the first ltw is filled after the heir has aged to ya, do I still have to chose the next household when the heir ages, or do i wait until the ltw is actually fulfilled?
  • Lifetime wishes fulfilled after the heir ages to ya but before I manage to move them to the next household do not count, right?
  • What happens if the next household dies/moves away after I enter edit town but before I am able to move the heir over?

Holly should age up within a few days of starting a new game, and she's very nice.  A lot of us chose her as our first Dynasty spouse.

Joria, Yup, I've done this before in Sunset Valley and the Altos are most certainly an interesting bunch to play.  I chose Holly as my founder, she's really pretty wonderful!  I just focused on her, and mostly let the other family members do whatever they wanted without paying much attention to them.  Left on free-will Mr. & Mrs. Alto get into some serious arguments! lol

- Yes.
- Yes, they would still get 1 point for the 1 LTW, they just wouldn't get any bonus points for additional LTW's.
- You should wait until the LTW is fulfilled before choosing the next family.  Although once you have completed a LTW, and you figure out which is the next family, then you don't have to go back into Edit town again to check if a new family has moved in with a name that's closer in alphabetic order.  In other words, once you have met the requirements to move to the next house (heir is YA, and 1 LTW is completed) then the next family is picked.  And it doesn't change after that.
- In the event that the next family moves before you were able to move your heir in with them, then you would just enter Edit Town and find the next family in line.  I think this would be a pretty unlikely thing to happen, but if it did just move on.

Serena, our fine upstanding ghostbusting citizen, has reached the top of her career and to celebrate the Mayor threw her a party with all the townsfolk as guests.

And when she got home, she discovered that she'd have some news to share with Phillip.

Phillip has been working on his painting skills.  This is one of his fine works of art.

There's not much else for Serena to do, besides wait for the baby to arrive.  She's completed her LTW, and reached the top of her career, she could clean up some dishes, but why bother?

And then one day after a rousing game of pac-man, it happens.

Mark Annan is born!

To celebrate, they threw a party.  And whaddya know, Death made a surprise entrance!

Phillip pretty much never stops painting, and when he takes a break from that he plays his guitar.  So when he had his birthday, gazing into the sunset, it seemed fitting.

Little Mark did some growing up of his own!

Who knew he'd turn out so much like his mom.  :)
