The more you update this story, Aria, the more I think about playing one of my own.  Do the rules prohibit expanding the current house?

Yes, you can take out interior walls if you like or put new ones up, but you cannot build or expand.  In other words, the floor print of the house must remain the same; no alterations to the exterior walls.  Essentially, you cannot make the house any bigger than what it is, you just deal with what you get.  Redecorating or upgrading items is entirely up to you.

You know you've been hittin' the Sims pretty hard when after a day of playing you have over 100 screenshots.   :o

So I'll try to keep it brief.  Needless to say, I've had a lot happen since my last update yesterday.

Glenda made it to level 5 of the Athletic Career.

And as I expected, that's as far as she would get.

The family was pretty upset about it.  Glenda did a lot to help out with raising the kids.

But even Death was upset thanks to that stupid stereo that keeps breaking.

He got over it long enough to help out with the dishes.

Cruz has turned out to be a really great Dad, despite his Evil trait.  He helps out a lot without any prompting, and yes, he's again rolled the wish to have another baby with Christy.  Cruz is 90 days old now, sly ol' dog.

Uh oh, confetti hearts, you know what that means...

DeAnne has earned quite a reputation for tormenting her younger siblings.

Christy, looking even more tired.

Poor thing...

Before her pregnancy shows she gets to work on her guitar.  See that little bar she's got going?  When it fills up with blue she'll complete her LTW of being a Master of the Arts.

And then boom, Baby #4 is incoming.

Some have commented about why Christy feels the need to fill her house with babies.  I really think it comes from a desire to please Cruz, he's the one who repeatedly rolls wishes for more babies.  She only really wanted the first two, after that it was all Cruz.  Plus, if you really want to delve into Christy's psyche I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the fact that she was raised as an only child in a house filled with elders, so maybe she's willing to go along with Cruz's wishes because she's glad to have a noisy house filled with kids.  It's quite the opposite of how she grew up.  Maybe she thinks that's a good thing?

I don't know, I'm just guessing.  If you want the real answer you'd have to ask Christy.  :P

Pretty soon it's Darek's birthday.

He's got a super cute cut!  Thanks Pam!

Daddy's home!  What's for dinner?

Cruz got a promotion to level 8 of the Law Enforcement career, so to celebrate Christy made him some pancakes.

Ugh... what are we gonna do with this kid.

More guitar licks.  Gettin' closer!

The downside of having a house right downtown, your trash can gets knocked over on a regular basis.  Darn kids.

TA DA!  At least Christy has completed her LTW!  According to the rules that qualifies DeAnne to move out as soon as she hits Young Adulthood.

Unfortunately, Cruz won't live to see that happen, nor will he get to meet his youngest child.

The repair man was the first to notice.

DeAnne was at a friend's house when her father died, and ended up having a little Birthday Party without knowing what had happened to her Dad.

But somehow, she knew anyway.

Christy was beside herself.  Even though her husband was an Elder she wasn't prepared to do this whole 'parenting 4 kids by herself' thing.

She wandered the house at night, crying for her lost Cruz.

DeAnne was sad too, but her reaction was to act out.  She started dressing and acting differently.  Christy was a little worried.

With Aunt Glenda gone, DeAnne decided to take the spare bed in Uncle Justin's room.  A little weird, but it worked.  The house was full and would get even fuller soon.

Christy worked hard to take care of herself, but her heart wasn't in it.  She forced herself to eat knowing that the little one inside of her needed the nourishment.

And then the big day finally arrived.

Christy went into labor right as the school bus arrived, so DeAnne decided to skip school.  Uncle Justin had already gone to work for the day and she couldn't leave her mom like this.  So she did some laundry and dishes and made sure Darek was ok while her mom labored.

Christy tried to focus, but it was difficult.

And in one big woosh a little girl was born.

Christy decided to name her Dolly.  Because she was such a beauty, like a porcelain doll.

She called her cousin Roseanne to tell her the news.  There was no one else she could think of who would be interested.

Once the baby arrived and Christy seemed settled DeAnne returned to school to finish out the day.  Thankfully the school was just a hop skip and a jump away.

Christy was lonely, she rolled the wish to get married.  To who?  Anyone.

She'd run out of contacts, and being a professional painter meant long hours alone, so she didn't really know anyone besides her Abe cousins.  So she decided to throw a party, maybe she'd meet someone new?

It was Desiree's Birthday, so that was a good excuse.

Desiree turned out to be quite a cutie!  I think she looks like her dad.

Christy threw herself into teaching Darek his toddler skills.  But her heart wasn't in it.

Uncle Justin made it to level 8 of his career.

Justin was pretty upset about the death of his brother.  Justin and Cruz were best friends, and really, Justin didn't like anyone else as much as he liked his brother.

The two grown-ups in the house started getting along better than they ever had before.

Christy always thought that he was kind of a slacker, living off the good nature of his brother, but maybe Justin stuck around for other reasons.

Maybe Justin knew that someday he'd be needed.  And sometimes, the obvious answer has been staring you in the face for years, and you never really notice it until it smacks you like a thunderbolt.

The next morning Christy woke up with more excitement than she'd felt in a long time.

It was her Birthday!

She was an Adult now.  Wow, she'd done a lot of living in her short pixelated life, and she was proud of herself.

She decided to take a risk.  She had a long talk with Justin, and they decided to take things to the next level.

Justin broke up with his long-time girlfriend, and then made things official with Christy.  Justin was getting old too, so no time to waste.

That's it, we need to make some changes around here...

Now that Justin and Christy were married they moved Desiree into Justin's old bedroom and moved Dolly's crib to the nursery.  Hopefully now everyone will get some decent sleep.

DeAnne rolled the LTW to become a Chess Champion.  So she started training right away and invited competitors over to the house for ranked chess matches.

Dolly had her first birthday, and she's perhaps the cutest baby yet.

I love her dark eyes and dark hair.

When Justin wasn't at work or at the computer working on his writing skill he was helping out with the kids.

They're so cute at this age!

DeAnne hasn't given up on tormenting her siblings.

Only 2 days after the wedding Justin insisted on going to the park to "track down some leads".

Unfortunately, Grimm can find you wherever you go.

Strangers were the only ones to wittness Justin's passing.

He begged for just one more day with his family, but Grimm said, "Yeah right!"

Widowed twice, it just doesn't seem right.

Thankfully, as a single mother of 4 there isn't much time to spend thinking about the past.  The ever present, and the future, are always reflected in your children's eyes.

Darek ages up, but not well.  He didn't get the chance to learn how to walk before his birthday.  So he was given the heavy sleeper trait, which is fine by me since he'll have to share a room with his baby sister for a while.

Christy makes sure that she doesn't make the same mistake with Dolly and gets right to work teaching her how to talk.

Now that she only has one child home during the day she's discovered that nap time is a great time to pick up the paintbrush.  And then she remembered something sweet that Kellie did for her, and she decides to do the same thing for DeAnne.  It's kind of an old fashioned concept, a dowry, but it will give DeAnne something beautiful to hang in her new house as well as something valuable to sell if the need arises.

DeAnne might be a bit of a rebel, but she applies herself to her studies anyway.  She's sure that somehow she will be able to take over the world with an iron fist, but only if she can come up with the solution to her chemistry assignment.

How will her chess tournament help her conquer the world?  Who knows?

During a rough patch of grieving for Justin, Christy and DeAnne share a touching moment together.

Christy decides to tell DeAnne about her plans for DeAnne's  dowry hoping that it will cheer them both up.

DeAnne loves that idea, and they both cry some more.

Then it's back to work with training the last nooboo.

DeAnne decides to teach her kid sister how to play chess.  Turns out she's a natural, and quickly becomes DeAnne's equal and greatest competitor.

Desiree has her birthday without much fanfare, just the presence of her family.

This becomes the common after-school scene at the house.

Then one day, DeAnne decides to visit what might be her new home, the Dickensons.

The first three people she met there were all relatives, so perhaps she'll have to jump to the next house if she can't marry into this one.  Uncle Justin's ex-girlfriend and son live here along with some other people.  More research is needed.

But before DeAnne can introduce herself to everyone in the house she hears the sounds of sirens.  Quick!  It's the cops!

How weird would that be if DeAnne had to move into the house with her cousins?! Could make things interesting.

Things seemed to calm down for our little family.

Rosanna Abe-Annan came over a lot for games of chess.  There must not be a lot of townies with the logic skill.

Dolly had a birthday, and after a quick make over she was pretty cute.

The cribs have been relegated to the family inventory now that everyone is big enough to sleep in a bed.

As I've mentioned before, the advantage of having a house in town is that I can easily see who's roaming the park from their home lot.  One Sunday morning I happened to notice a sim named Dickenson at the park.  None of my Sims had met him before so I had DeAnne head over and introduce herself.

Wow, he was pretty cute!  And single, and not related to DeAnne, what a relief!

I was glad to have marriageable options in the Dickenson household, and DeAnne was glad to have made a new friend.

Then it was back to chess matches.

Hey, I invited you over to play CHESS, not rummage through our recycling bin!

Desiree decided that she wanted to be like her big sister and took up the Chess Champion LTW as well.
