I'm loving this one, Aria! I'm doing my dynasty in Barnacle Bay and it's fun to see it from your viewpoint. I keep debating on whether or not to write a story on it.
There are a bunch of life fruit in the Coastal's if you run into the elder issue again. Hint, hint.

Barnacle Bay?  Oops!  I kept thinking it was Twinbrook.  Apparently, I know neither town very well.

Your doing a nice job on this one Aria.  One of these days, I might try  a legacy. :)

So, here we are... Now what?

Because Christy brought over $300k to the household there's plenty of money to play with, and this place, clearly, could use a makeover.

The room arrangement and walls have to stay the same, but because I know that there will soon be a baby in the house there needs to be some re-arranging.  The room above with the single bed will be turned into the master bedroom/art studio.  The room in the upper right will be shared by Glenda & Justin (more about them later).  And the other bedroom will be turned into a nursery.

I'm not much of a decorator.  The most important part to me is to get all the appliances and plumbing upgraded so that things aren't breaking all the time and get everyone a decent bed to sleep in.

The master bedroom:

Justin & Glenda's bedroom:

The bathroom shared by the two smaller rooms:

And the nursery/rest of the house:

On a side note, I really like the layout of this house.  It has a nice open floor-plan and I like the separation of space between the master and the smaller bedrooms.  After these pictures were taken I did add laundry facilities to the larger bathroom and rearranged things in there so that everything would fit.  Nothing about this house is fancy or glamorous, so I didn't think it was necessary to change any of the paint colors or upgrade the couches.  They're kind of cute actually.

Now here's an introduction to Christy's new family!

First we have Cruz:

Cruz is kind of a strange dude.  But Christy and he get on like thieves so I guess it works out ok.  Honestly, it's been a long time since managing a romantic relationship has been easier, they are THAT happy together!  Cruz has several not that remarkable traits, and he's Evil.  His LTW is to become an International Super Spy.  Of course he isn't in the Law Enforcement career, he works down at the mausoleum as a Burial Specialist.  Obviously getting him into the right job will be my first step.  He's 75 days old, but I think with some dedication I should be able to complete his LTW.

Next up is Cruz's older sister, Glenda:

Glenda is Athletic, and she wishes to be a Super Star Athlete.  Not in the sports career, and only a couple points into the Athletic skill.  I have a feeling that she may not complete her LTW since there is no Work Hard tone to that career track and she's 78 days old, but we'll see.  I've been wrong before!  Glenda does have a boyfriend, but it looks like they aren't as close as they used to be.

And then there's Justin:

Based on his looks, I'm kind of wishing Christy had waited out for the younger brother of Cruz, but once I dig a little deeper I start to think she made the right choice.  Justin has a girlfriend and a teenage son, plus he has second love interest on the side.  Nice!  He wants to be a Star News Anchor, but has not joined the journalism career track.  He does have a few points in writing though, so at least that's something.  Completing his LTW shouldn't be a problem, he's an Adult about 10 days from Elderhood.

So that's the Carroll household!  I'm looking forward to managing a smaller family, the last two households were completely full up so this will be a nice break.  :)

Looks like that one evening at the Carroll house before the wedding was a success!

I sent Christy to the spa for some TLC and splurged for the $3000 package treatment.  Hey, what else am I gonna do with over $300k in the bank?

And then it was back to the easel for her.

Wishing I looked this great when I was pregnant!

Cruz seems to be particularly excited.  Hey, he's old, he probably thought he wasn't going to have any kids.

These two are such love birds, I swear, all they roll are wishes to give each other massages and amorous hugs and kisses and woo hoo.  Obviously they're still in the Honeymoon phase of the relationship!

And then the time finally came...

I was hoping for a home birth, but Christy had other plans.  She and Cruz walked across the street to the hospital.

Welcome to the world DeAnne!

DeAnne was born with the Evil and Genius traits.  Mua ha ha ha ha!

Then it was back to work for the Abe-Annan-Bliss-Carroll Family.

Obviously someone had gotten a little rusty w/ the paintbrush!

I'm really liking the location of this house.  It's right in the middle of town, and the beach is just a block away.  I can watch people come and go at the town square throughout the day and night.  In this shot you can see the local "hangout", the bistro, and the grocery store.  The town square is right next door.  And in the picture foreground you can see the planter boxes that are outside the hospital.

It's someone's birthday!

And look, it's DeAnne's birthday too!

I thought I'd invite Justin's son over to visit.  Isn't he a weird looking dude?  And a vampire, of course!

Cruz thought he'd help out teaching DeAnne to talk.

"And then, the Grimm Reaper came for each one of them and took them to his All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet."

Just a cute picture of DeAnne sitting in front of one of Kellie's Masterpieces.

More toddler training, she's such a cutie!

Cruz and Christy were happy parents, so of course they both rolled wishes to have another child.

Again, doesn't she look great?

They hired a maid, but she was kind of a slacker.

Here we go!

And off they walked to the hospital.  I was hoping she would be more brave this time, but I guess not.

And Desiree was born!

A second crib was added to the nursery.

Lieutenant Cruz rolled yet another wish to have a baby with Christy.  He's 82 days old, and my opinion is that at that age you should get whatever you want.

In the meantime, baby DeAnne isn't such a baby anymore.

She traded in her crib for a bed, and wasn't too thrilled to be sharing a room with her baby sister, but she didn't have any other choice.

Christy started to show, and she also got another day at the spa.

Desiree grew up!

And is it just me, or does Christy look a little tired?

Tired, but great!

See... that's what happens when you do too much during the last stage of pregnancy!

This time around Christy wanted a boy and Cruz wanted another girl, so I didn't take any measures to control the gender.

Christy decided to stay home this time for the birth, yay!

And it's a boy!

They named him Darek.

You know you're a mom when you put your own hobbies and activities on the back burner in response to the needs of your family.  Christy was forced to do just that, the only place left for a crib was right in front of her easel.

You posted the link to this on the Sims 3 Facebook page yesterday sometime. I followed out of curiosity and fell in love! It's such a cute story. I shared your idea with my friend (Who is looking for new sim challenges to play).

Big welcome to all the nooboos! DeAnne, Desiree, and Darek (my older brother's name is spelled that way - too cool!) The house seems to work quite well. I love the changes you made, Aria.

Welcome to the world D cubed! Loving the story AriaGirl77, such a fantastic concept. I guess you can't escape the full houses can you? I love the changes you made to the house. And wow she looked good when she was pregnant. I especially like her maternity dresses. The cherries were a nice touch.

The more you update this story, Aria, the more I think about playing one of my own.  Do the rules prohibit expanding the current house?
