I'm beginning to think I have a bug. I cannot find my kids homework anywhere. Can someone tell me where it is supposed to be?

It's highly possible that they just put it down somewhere. If it's not in their inventory, and you can't find it, you can buy more on the computer.

Wow, purchasing homework. Schools are finding ways to profit now eh? I haven't used children much in the game, but thank the OP for the information on School. It'll make a lot more sense to me when I dive into that area. I am pursuing an aspiration today and will likely have a kid. Need to play the game normally sometimes to really understand it and help people, while guides are a lot of testingcheats and notetaking.

Well, I still think there was a glitch because my kid went to school three or four times and no homework. However, once I purchased the homework once, she began getting her homework from school without further issue.  ;D

You can also buy homework from the bookshelves.  Purchase books option, children's books. You can purchase both school levels there.  Note that although you can purchase homework from a bookshelf you cannot store it there.

The grade school homework is a thinner yellow/orange book, and high school is a pretty thick blue book. Just FYI, look for those on your lot if you can't find it.

Have we determined any reward at all for getting an A?

Not for the child, but if you have the successful lineage aspiration you need to have a child get an A in High School.

Hmmm, I think, when I finished grade school with an A I got to start high school with a B, whereas otherwise you start with a C. Can anyone confirm that?

Could also be because of the Mental Aspiration I completed. Or maybe I am just remembering it wrong :)

This is an awesome guide, I was just about to post a topic about school somewhere else, but this totally answered my questions lol. I have a kid that is getting a C in school and wanted to get her up to an A if possible, and was wondering if I was doing something wrong, because every time she gets home from school it says she is just doing mediocre, and yet I have her do all of her homework and study and stuff like that.

So I was wondering, why the heck is she not getting a better grade? Well, this answered my question! Thank you!

Can someone remind me how to get a Sim focused? Do they need to read or something? I can't remember what makes them focused.

This thread deals with items that influence Emotions. There's a lot about various emotional states.

You can get Focused by having a Sim study a book, be tutored, having lilies planted nearby (I'm pretty sure there is also a seperate Flowers thread about this), and other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head.
