Do you have a Sim Halloween?
« on: October 09, 2010, 08:15:11 PM »
Halloween is one of my most favorite times of the year. To get in the mood I thought I needed some Halloween in my Sims game.  This is Boris and Bridey Frankenstein. Are you doing anything spooky or haunted for Halloween?

I hadn't thought about this. But I do have some free Halloween stuff... Maybe I'll put up some decorations, dress up the kids and let them knock on everyone's front door. It's too bad there's no candy in Sims. :(

I think (Sims 3 wise) I will make a sim and have him go to every destination in town (including the houses) and do Trick or Treat! He will either make an enemy or steal candy from a baby or steal something (at night

In real life I will be handing out candy with my BFF out of the trunk of my car! We have bought 7 lbs. (3.2 kg) of candy, and expecting that is not enough! There are a lot of kids in my neighborhood! It will be kind of spooky but not crazy for the little ones, I'm very, very excited about it!

Ah. Sadly we don't even have a real Halloween in Australia. Some people have parties, but the majority don't Trick-or-Treat or anything. I'm too old now, I feel like I missed out   :'(. Once we had a discussion at school with an American exchange student about it, and boy was she not impressed.

Her: You mean you don't have Halloween in Australia!?
Us: No.
Her: And... and do you have Thanksgiving?
Us: ...No.
Her: ...CHRISTMAS...!?
Us: Yeah, but we it's usually 40 degrees Celsius (98 F) and we celebrate it on the beach.
Her: ...

That's a good idea though! Seems a shame not to make the most of the free Halloween stuff in the store, perhaps I can just live it out through my Sims. And I definitely won't say no to 3.2 kilos of Timtams and Caramello Koalas...

That happens to us here in South Carolina too. Christmas on the beach I mean.  The first Christmas I lived here I was out on the beach in a tank top and shorts.  A few years later there was 6 inches of snow an Christmas Eve.

You could always have a Sim Halloween. Make a monster to celebrate.

I'll have to do just that! Unless Mary Sue here already counts.

I'm not a monster... am I?

@Ausette

She's pretty cute. I don't know if she'd be a monster.

Bridey ended up kind of cute too. I used a picture of Elsa Lanchester, the original Bride of Frankenstein.

Thanks Pam. Here's her close up.  I couldn't get her husband right. Just couldn't get that cro-magnum man brow.

Pam's right, you did a fantastic job on them both :)
Try resurrecting the Twinbrook graveyard, they've all got pale green skin and a distinctive zombie look. I'd do it myself but I don't have Ambitions, I just heard about them on this really long thread I've been following on the official Sims 3 forums.

I could also make a few mummies and then after the 26th I'll have vampires!  All in time for Halloween.

I've actually thought this out properly! :)
Vamps, Mummies, Goblins, Zombies, Resurrected Ghosts that haven't eaten Ambrosia, and the Grim Reaper (hopefully).
I've also spent like $20 on Halloween stuff from Sims 3 and from some friends at EA who design objects. Black walls, spooking things, spooky music.
I've been working on the Mansion for ages........

Oh! I have something to suggest to Metro.......

I'm not sure....I considered Green children. Kind of disturbing though. *glancing over shoulders*
Oh! Garden Gnomes could also be part of the party!

Talking about kids. Anyone good with Sim genetics?  If Bridey is blue-white and Boris is green what color kids would they have?
