Changing a sim's name
« on: September 07, 2014, 04:22:42 AM »
Is there a way to change a sim's last name? I had two sims get married, and both of them kept their original names.

When I had a sim get married to a female townie/resident of the town, I had taken her into the "Plan Outfits" in the dresser and to my surprise it highlighted the ability to change the last name there. No cheats necessary.

I tried to edit it in CAS but didn't get the option. Will have to try the cheat.

I wonder if this was fixed in the latest patch? Have you updated?

I may not have patched because that has not come up as an option (when did the patch come out? I downloaded the game on September 4th when the came became available in Finland), but I found out how to edit the name of the household or a sim: in the Manage Worlds view, click on a household, and you get options, of which choose "More". Under that you can choose "Manage Household". A window opens up where you can choose either the whole household or individual sims for editing.

I just tried that and it says you cannot edit pre existing sims (well at least their names, that's all I tried to change)
