Moving Sims to Different Neighbourhoods

I have read through the whole forum and I cannot find how to move Sims, their houses and all their stuff to another neighbourhood. Is this possible, does anyone know?

You bet. Here's a handy Guide article on Moving Your Sims to a New Neighborhood.

Actually, I have further questions about this.

1. OK, moved Sims but I have a lot of real estate in my current Neighbourhood. Should I sell them all to get my money? Obviously they won't transfer because the lots are different in each neighbourhood. Or when I move them to the bin, will they automatically sell, so I don't loose money?

2. Vacation Homes. Will they stay or again, will I have to sell?

I'd like to know before I find out the hard way and loose everything. Thanks.

1 Don't move them to the bin, you will loose your money. I've tried that just to see what happens.

2 Vacationhomes you will loose to if you don't sell them.

Conclusion Bella: sell everything. Or backup your game for in case you will regret it later and want to get back to the way it was before.
