At what age do you find you Sims hardest to handle?

I personally hate the elder stage, all my Sims just get so ugly by the elder stage at one point I was killing them the day of their elder birthday. Hows that for a birthday party . There are a lot of good looking older people so why does the game have to make them so displeasing. I'
 playing the dynasty challenge right now and I hate the fact that we have to let the Sims become elders why not hit the pause on adult because who in their right mind would wait to eat ambrosia after they became old instead of young? But yeah I hate the elder stage all my elders get ignored.
I also find that the more freetime a Sim has the harder to control like children are gone half of the day but you have to occupy your YA A and E Sims somehow 24/7.

I'm not a huge fan of the toddler stage.  I don't like teaching them to do stuff, I don't like making the parents spend hours of their day trying to get them potty trained, or talking or whatever.  And I can't just NOT teach them how to do stuff and let them end up with a bad trait.  It's always a relief to me when they age up into children and can do most things for themselves.

I mostly just let my sims do what they want on free will, except for occasionally redirecting them to certain activities, but the toddler phase requires more redirection than I'd like.  lol

Toddlers in real life are WAY more fun!

Ariagirl, I find the same thing to be opposite with teens in the Sims, their easy in the game but in real life you find yourself wondering whatever happened to the sweet babies and children they used to be.
