Rotating in Build Mode

Has anyone figured out how to do this?  I can't finish placing  normal looking ceiling because I'm stuck in the view I started with when I go into Build/Buy

I generally click on the select tool and then rotate the camera.  Although there's probably controls for it.

Hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse will rotate the camera. That worked for me yesterday.

I rotate everything with the , and . keys (they have arrows on them if you hold down the shift key, that's how I remember to use them to rotate < > )

This was only serving to rotate selected items and not the camera for me.

If you have something on your cursor, use the right mouse button and drag to the left or right to rotate the house. The ,. keys will rotate the object.

Control-A and Control-D will swing around back and forth. Control-S and Control-W will tilt the camera up and down.

When you have an item selected to rotate right click until you have it it the desired direction

Here are the camera controls I have found. You can use them with something on your cursor, wether it's while building or buying.

CTRL-S flattens the camera down.
CTRL-W tilts the camera up.
CTRL-A Camera left
CTRL-D Camera right

Also the keys A and D move the camera left and right.
W and S move the camera up and down.

In Sims3 Mode, hold down the mouse button to tilt camera up or down.

Edge Scrolling - will scroll up and down only in areas of the edge of the screen that do not contain a menu. If there is a white menu overlay on the edge, the scrolling won't work.
