Limited services?

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums, after lurking around the guide for years.

The issue I've encountered is with Services. I didn't want my sim to be handy, so the first time the toilet broke down I tried to call the repairman - and there are only 3 available services are for the maid, one-time and recurring, and for something I don't remember, but it wasn't a repairman. Has anyone else seen this or is this a glitch I need to report?

I want to take advantage of the broader list of skills to create some specialists, and not have all my sims with three ranks in every skill, which is why I didn't want my sim to be handy.

Not sure if there is a repairman i TS4. If something breaks you can just click on it and choose replace, like with fire damaged furniture in TS3.

There is no repairman in Sims 4. You either have to Repair it yourself or Replace it with the menu option.

Oh. i had seen the replace option, but the idea that the option to replace it was *instead* of a professional repairman didn't even occur to me. Perhaps because in Sims 3, the replace option appeared after an item had broken down several times? Not sure what I think about that.
