It wasn't my idea but I definitely had to work out the way to do it.  I saw one much like this, (better than mine I think), in the gallery.  Later, when I went to download it, I couldn't find it again so I built my own.  There is also a basement.  It's a work in progress at the moment as my runaway has run out of funds.  I must say it is a royal pain when she discovers she needs to use the facilities and they are up four floors and she's below in the garden.  Ooops!
What?  Grannies can't play games?

I can't wait for the new expansion with the new neighbourhood and themed decor.  I'm going to build the following Tudor Style House.  I've already built the shell and am now anxiously waiting on the new expansion.  I'm building it on a 40 x 30 lot.

This is the shell so far using currently available materials.

That looks so beautiful!  I haven't seen any info for the new pack, but I hope it includes some of the items in the world already that aren't included in build mode.

That looks great Dellena. That was clever how you made that one section look like a garage door. :)

I have almost finished my SimFamily Home. If you still remember Tiffany Oakes, whose story I haven't finished writing (yet), this is now her family's place. Those paintings of hers paid for the whole place. :D I'm renaming this place as 'Forest Retreat' instead of Oakenstead.

This is how the 50x50 lot looks like from above. I know it's not really attractive like this because of the many, many, many trees. But since I originally wanted to build a cabin in the woods... this is what happened. I actually still want to add some more trees, except I might run out of money, and I'm not sure yet how high my bill will be after building the place up. My SimFamily has 23k simoleons left. I will have to wait a bit more to add the necessary trees.

This is the main house where my SimFamily resides. It has 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a study,  living room, hobby room, kitchen and dining area.

The second house in the lot. I prepared this for either the second generation or could be the retirement home for my elderlies someday. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and kitchen. I have made a copy of this as a separate house, which is already shared at the Gallery. It is named 'Simple Living'.

I'm not sure if this can be called a tree house. I left it empty at the moment. Might be a good place for bird watching, snooping at the neighbors with the telescope or hiding from the parents.

I also added a garden with a garden shed. And a place for the chickens too! It is a good place plant your vegetable garden or roses if that is your fancy. Although there is also another garden near the main house but it is only a rectangular piece of land enclosed by a fence. I currently only have an apple tree there and a basil bush.

A small copse of trees with a clearing. I was thinking of camping in here. But I didn't place any of the 'Outdoor Retreat' stuff since I wanted to use only the base game items when I share the lot to the Gallery.

Last is the natural pool with spring water coming out of the rocks! I love it! :D
There is also a place where friends can come over to grill food and have a picnic.

I want to share it to the gallery soon. I just need to know a few things before I do.

1. Will items crafted by my sim appear if downloaded by others from the gallery?
-If not, then I'll have to change the crafted chairs, tables, toilets, bathtub, and paintings
2. Will items unlocked through career appear if downloaded by others from the gallery?
-If not, I'll remake the kitchen and change the bed too.

I think I'll try saving a small place with the items from #1 and #2 and check for myself.

It's gorgeous as usual Indira.  I don't think paintings carry through but I think the wood crafted items do as you can get them in buydebug.  Not sure though.

How did you build that pergola?  I love it.

Hi @Joria  , this is how I made it.

Building a pergola in 4 easy-to-do steps

1. Use walls to build the initial shape and allow you to 'move up' to the second floor.

2. find a short fence that you like and place on top of the walls.

3. Then use the sledgehammer to delete the 1st floor and 2nd floor, as well as all the walls. It leaves just the fence on the 'second floor'.

4. Then make your own design and place the posts on appropriate places.

Also, between step 2 and step 3, add a second floor using one of the non-fenced decks.  Place it to match the floor below.  Then add wall trim to the top of the ground floor.  Then continue with the above guide.  This will give you trim that will cover the tops of the pillars.

Fishing Pool, Something I've been playing around with. Nice place to go swimming or kill some time at the several fishing spots including one for catching Granite Falls fish, explore the mine and travel to Forgotten Grotto or check out the tree and travel to Sylvan Glade.
Would like to add fishing spots for the Grotto and Glade fish, I just haven't taken the time to figure out what fishing sign connects to them yet.

Great idea @grimsoul . Are you planning to upload the finished project? Would love to tuck it in my game for easy access to camping grounds.

Hello all. This is my first post. I wanted to find a forum to meet up with people and post my creations with others who might enjoy them as much as I do.

I love build mode and used to build a lot on Sims 3. I never really shared anything on there, but with the gallery on Sims 4, I really enjoy it. My new build is a Tudor house that attempts to fuse the old with the new, much like Windenburg itself. It's very tudor, but I attempt to fuse it with a modern twist here and there. Fits the club life.

This next girl's studio apartment is cool at night, but you have to have Spa Day for the cool light that came with it!

I am very happy with this modern bath. By placing the Spa Day light above and behind the cabinets, the light looks like it comes from under the cabinets.

My gallery name is coolhandlukeboy2, if you want to see the real thing

Hi @coolhandlukeboy  :D Welcome to the forum!

There is an even better place for your creations in the Sims 4. Go to these pages:

Houses and Lots
**Where you can easily post your buildings. Check out the other posts there to see the pattern and the details that you can provide about your creation.

Swap Shop
**This is where we post the collection of what we created, be they buildings, or room, or sim households. It's like listing all that you have created in one page. Makes it easier for people who follow your creations to easily locate them without. There are instructions on how to go about it provided by MrsFlynn.

It is great to have another builder in the forums. Happy simming!  :D
