...when you have premonitions about the Sims.
I once dreamt of a Sims game I had never heard of. And you know what? The next day I saw it. It was TS2: Apartment Life.
Wow, you can see the future! ;D

What will TS4 be like? :P

What's the next EP gonna be Seabody?

Pets. :P

Advanced. They will use a webcam to take a picture of you and input it as a Sim, reducing the need to create a simself. You will have Seasons AND Pets as the base game, and the first EP will be Magic.
Now if all of that is true, I will be scared.

I've been reading up on the posts and I have to admit that I have most of the simstoms listed :p

Dreaming about Sims - Check
Analysing people in terms of Traits and Moodlets - Check
Jealous cat who likes to sleep on my Keyboard While I'm playing -Check
Denial about being able to quit at any time (yeah right :D) - Check
Talking about my sims families to "normal" people and getting weird looks - Check.

In other words this game should be banned as something that creates dependency :D

Haha, me too, cugi-terl! Only it's more a jealous guinea pig in my case... I also wish I could quit life sometimes; like in maths class!
And when I get all excited about new babies in 'the family' my friends are all 'What? You're getting a little brother or sister?!'
I can tell you it's extremely embarrassing explaining the truth...

So we were doing tests in school last week, and I finished early. I was so bored I zoned out and I was mentally recolouring patterns.

I do that all the time!
They never turn out how I planned them, though.

When you're getting your real horse ready to ride, and you imagine him having a 'brushed' moodlet and a 'clean feet' moodlet - and you double the moodlet because you actually clean all FOUR of his feet!

Unfortunately my poor horse hasn't been ridden in years, and has been pastured at my Mum's. My daughter is getting interested in riding, so he's getting ridden again. The poor thing has the 'this saddle has been on too long' moodlet after only 20 mins. He got girth galls :( I had a ride and it was like riding a jack-hammer because he is so stiff and a bit sore. He used to have such a nice gait. He needs some regular gradual exercise to get him into shape!

...when you get a new microphone and your first thought uses the words "Sims" and "Let's Play"...

(Yeah, ok...I guess you have played too much Sims.  :P)

@Chuckles: I do the same thing with my real life cat! I imagine he's got the Pampurred moodlet, and the "new friend" moodlet. I think he's gotten the scolded moodlet quite a bit too from climbing on the kitchen table!  ;D

Dog owners: Does your dog run up to you with his leash or a toy when you're playing Sims?

The Schipperke method for getting your human away from the computer:  (that's Schipperke as in my dogs, not me)

1.  Jump on the human's lap.  Lick her face, ears, etc.  If that doesn't work, go to -
2.  Bark in the human's face, bare your teeth, make as much noise as possible.  And if all else fails -
3.  Get down on the floor under the computer table and disconnect something.  This one is pretty much guaranteed to get the human off the computer!

But what if they disconnect a modem cable? :P Then you'll be fine for Sims, but not for Forum. Until you realise a dog disconnected the cable, and plug it back in, by which time said dog is on the computer playing Angry Birds.
