Singing We Are Young in Simlish when you hear it on tv. I don't even really like that song, but there it is, stuck in my head.

..When you watch your recorded videos on DVD when you can't get to sleep. (p.s. I haven't actually done it, it was just an idea.)

“You ought to upgrade to Windows 7!”, they said. “It’ll help your games run so much better!”, they said. If I see them again, then they had better know how to stabilize an on-the-fritz copy of The Sims 3 that was working just fine on Windows XP.

When you sit in a dull meeting at work, and try and work out which sims hairstyle you would use to make each one of them.

...when the little girl you babysit is reading the Game Tips as she waits for her game to load, and you can recite each one from memory within the first three words, and know what expansion and patch it's from off the top of your head. :D

..When you almost pee yourself from excitement after hearing "This City" by Patrick Stump for the first time in Showtime. No lie.

When you expect The Sims to pop up the second you power on your computer and switch on the monitor.
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

Sometimes I don't turn my computer off at night, just because I want to be able to play again tomorrow without having to load the game.   :)

I can't do that because that darn humming bothers me so much. I have this small irrational fear of my laptop burning out. Plus, sleeping with a bright screen light would just render me unable to sleep because "it's not right". Curse OCD (the reason I worry so much)!

You notice you have 300 hours played and have owned the game just under a month.

When you start contemplating which traits your friends have.

Then discuss it with your significant other to see if they agree,

Sims 1 was really the point in my life when I got the most play time in.  I would play often until 5 or 6 in the morning during breaks in college and in the summer.  I'd go to bed just as everyone else was getting up, sleep until 12 or 1pm, shower, eat and start playing again.  And it never got old.  I would be totally bored with it now, but that kind of schedule would be nice to have again!   :P

When you point out to your husband that getting out of bed to check the lights/cooker/front door/taps would qualify him for the Neurotic trait. (Hint: this does not go down well!)
