I'm Trying to Stock Pool With Fish

The vacation house in China has a pool in front. I've put windows in the side of it as well as in the adjacent basement. I've caught 10 dragonfish, and would like to stock the pool with them so the dragonfish can be seen from inside the basement.

Is there some way to change the designation of the pool to pond, so I can stock it?

I was thinking maybe an insane Sim could stock a pool, but I just tested it and she can't, only fish.  Don't have any other ideas.

I don't think it can be done, LlamaMama.

There could be a small chance that a childish Sim could because they can catch fish in a pool. Its highly unlikely but you never know.

I gave my sim the Childish trait, then placed a dragonfish spawner in the water, using Buydebug. No fish were visible, her husband jumped in and swam around, but she was fishing out invisible dragonfish, which materialized just after she pulled them out of the pool.

Bummer. It would have been really great.

What if you used Buydebug and placed a spawner in the pool? I don't know if it would work though.

I was rereading this post and it got me thinking.  SimEve on the EA site has a blog post with fish codes for fog emitters.  TommyT made his shark tank using her tutorial on youtube.  I know you could use all those fancy cheats and put a fog emitter in the pool for dragonfish, but in her blog it says they would be fish tank size.  But that may be an option.

@gerrr: I thought about that too, but thanks for mentioning the size issue. All that cool fire would be more impressive full-size I think. Still, the sharks looked full-sized. Hmm.

On her blog she lists 3 different fish that are full size.  The shark and crocodiles, can't remember the third one.

Deathfish are the 3rd one that are full sized.

Just remember, you need a six by six squares of space to get those fish in.  You use buydebug and the fog emitter to put the fish in.  Otherwise, no fish showing and they only show up moving in live mode so you have to constantly go back and forth and readjust the placement of the FE.  It does make a really cool fish tank though.  Sure wish we could just normally stock pools with fish of our choice.  Much more interesting that way I think.
