Sims 4 - Weird pictures, funny posts, or something new?

I cannot believe that the following happened in my game today.

My Sim went to the Humor and Hijinks festival - made a bee line for a food stall to purchase food and learn the recipe. Almost there, he got blasted by some fireworks that an idiot NPC (a generated one) set on amidst a group of people. At least five Sims got blasted.

A moment later, that same NPC goes ahead and sets on more fireworks and everyone gets blasted again. They all stink and are very uncomfortable.

My poor Sim, covered in soot, pays for a dish, but doesn't get to eat because aforementioned idiot NPC steals the food right in front of him and hurries off to a table. I got loud at that point, snapped and deleted the NPC with a vengeance. My Sim retook his meal and went home to shower...

Sometimes, I think an NPC is scripted to be ridiculously annoying. *pulls hair*

That's such a bizarre incidence, Nindigo !  I would have deleted that NPC, too.  I'm glad your Sim didn't die or anything.

How do we help these guys? Why is love not enough to just spawn babies? I feel so sorry for them
