Sparks in the Desert (complete)
« on: September 02, 2014, 05:41:40 PM »
This is a story about Hank Goddard and Pauline Wan from Sunset Valley and what happened when they moved to Oasis Springs. I started it in TS3 and have just finished my first chapter in TS4.

Here's the link: http://mavitasims.blogspot.com/

You have to click on August for Sparks in the Desert. The entire story follows, just keep scrolling down.

I apologize for the darkness of the TS4 screenshots. I'm still learning.

I like this.  Now I'll get to see Sims 4 without the outlay.

@judewright, it's kind of a mystery to me, too. I want them to get together, but I don't know if I can make that happen, lol.

@Banana Bender, I'll try to get some screenshots for you. Both towns are beautiful.

I'm so glad you're writing this. I'm trying to make a decision about if and when to by TS4. This and other things I've read here the last two days have settled the if. Now all that's left is the when.

@KRae, I'm really enjoying it, although I have the demon baby glitch. I don't think I'll be doing a Sims 4 Baby Boomer challenge or any dynasty that doesn't allow me to age up the baby as soon as it's born, lol.

I posted Chapter 5 this morning -- Ships Passing. Deformed baby glitch has been fixed, so if Hank and Pauline ever get together, they can have children, yay!

MarianT, I'm enjoying your story so much! I like the genre of "Sims 3 Canon Expansion" and you do it very well.

Haha! I was going to put the wedding, etc. in a separate chapter, but when I was writing this morning, I decided to just go ahead with what I had. (Off to go see what the baby looks like.)

It's so nice reading about Sunset Valley friends again. Great story and... yah! Pauline and Hank are finally married! Yipee!!  ;D

I'm enjoying this story a lot. It's cool seeing Sunset Valley townies used in a Sims 4 story setting.

I'm glad Hank and Pauline are working things out.  They're so much alike, maybe too much, but that's why they're fun.  It always makes me a little sad how fast NRaas story progression breaks them up, although it makes me laugh that they'll often end up back together, only to break up again, over and over.

It'll be cool to see how their baby turns out.

@Playalot, thanks!
@Cheezey, I've never played them with the NRAAS story progression on, but it would make sense for them to keep breaking up and getting back together again. I left Hank with the noncommittal trait, but didn't give it to Pauline. I figured I'd give them half a chance to make a go of it.
