If your sim has a job have them click on the phone every couple days. The first option in the menu that pops up is to Negotiate a Bonus. You get the bonus right then and it gets bigger as you progress through the career.
My sim is just starting off in the painter career. At level 1 he got a $100 bonus and at level 2 he got $112. Before he quit the astronaut career he was getting over $2,000 each time he called it.
It might not be a whole lot but it's free money. :)

Buffed female sims; Re: Drive in theatre

Maybe I don't have the right television.

Sometimes, you need to move your mouse a bit after you enlarge the object.

What I did was this:
1. Click object with mouse.
2. Hold "Shift" button, then press the "[" or "]" button.
"]" will make the the object large.
"[" will make the enlarged object small. You cannot use this command to make items smaller than their original size.

On another topic, is there a way to stop or avoid getting overly buffed female sims? Someone mentioned in a thread somewhere about feeding sims sparingly and not let them finish their plate if the hunger bar is already filled, but sometimes, we can't really watch every single sim that eats while controlling others that do something else. So, my sims are being good and finish all their vegetables...and get fat. To the gym they go to trim the extra love handles and return home with big muscles. I've nothing against buffed females, I find them great to look at, but my sims just seem to look "dirty". Especially on their legs and calves. I'm thinking of not making them wear skirts or shorts anymore, which is a real shame.  :'(

I just tried to do this with my programming job sim but this option didn't come up. I wonder if it is a particular job as opposed to all the jobs? Out of interest which job did your sim have?

My sim is on his second job. He's had Astronaut and Painter and it's been available in both those jobs. Maybe there is some jobs that don't have the option tho.

Household items (toilet, shower, bath, sink, fridge, oven etc etc) can have multiple upgrades applied to them at the same time. So my sims shower has three upgrades applied at the moment. (Can't remember exact names but faster showering time, self cleaning and one other). More upgrades become available as your sims handiness skill increases. Very cool!

Requires high charisma according to my daughter. She mastered it, so she's not sure what level you get it... my secret agent is only lvl 6 and doesn't have it yet, and is needing 7. She said it may be level 9 for it.

I didn't realize that charisma was part of it. My sim has charisma maxed out.

I just found something cool. I was controlling a sim who went to Sylvan Glade. While she was there, I hovered over the greyed out picture of one of the housemates at home. There was the option to care for self, so I clicked it. When I clicked it, I had the option to bring that family member to Sylvan Glade, to care for themselves or to switch control to someone at home. I chose to switch control, so I was able to do things with the sims still on the home lot while Fern was still in Sylvan Glade!

I need my sims child to get focused for school. Does anyone know how? I can't get him past a C and after 8 sim days it's getting annoying. I googled it, but no one can tell me. It's probably somthing really easy...

Hey there,
I think you have to do specified tasks in order for their grade to go up.   All my Sims children started out with a C, but their oldest child has a B now due to the fact that his tasks were completed before school.  I hope this helps.
I know I am open for any help and am trying to read what all has been posted.  :)

I haven't heard chimes in four kids. Must be a thing of the past.

Yeah.. I miss the chimes as well.  They seem to not get sick as often as they did in S3.  But the graphics when they do vomit is yucky lol  :)

There are certain activities that you can have your sims do to get them focused or energised for school. They need to be activities that give a buff for a length of time, rather than the passive ones that disappear when you leave the room. Primary school is energised. You also have to level up some skills and do extra credit by clicking on the homework after it is finished. For focused I think I remember someone mentioning you can have them play chess.

As for pregnancy, instead of the chimes you have to take your female sim to the toilet and click on the toilet to take a pregnancy test. I liked the chimes a whole lot better - they were cute.

It's Ponder Moves on the chess table for Focused.  4 hour buff.

Buff?  Isn't Sims 4 still calling them moodlets?
