I also don't think I'll ever fully get over not having Create-a-Style. My sims' clothes don't entirely match and it hurts me on the inside.

Finally, someone who gets me. LOL

I too caved quicker than I meant to.  I was determined to be happy with my Sims 3 until all the expansion packs were out for 4 and I could buy the whole bundle for $50, but alas, that didn't work... I knew inside that it wouldn't.  That said, here's my first (and second) impression of the game.

FIRST IMPRESSION
At first, I hated it.  I despised it and was thankful I hadn't purchased it (my daughter-in-law's computer wouldn't run it so she put it on mine).  I played around for about and hour, was bored and lonely, and went back comfortably to my Sims 3.  I continued to play Sims 3 for another 2 weeks, glaring balefully at the Sims 4 logo every time I logged into my computer.  Then I came here.  And I read this thread.  And I decided to give it another chance, NOT comparing it to Sims 3

SECOND IMPRESSION
I fell in in love... It *is* a brand new game, and when you forget previous Sims for a minute, it's not bad.  I've been playing since day one of version one (and just about every single day since), and looking at this with fresh eyes, I see that it takes bits of Sims 1, Sims 2, and a sprinkle of 3 and created a whole new entity. 

Things I thought I would miss, but don't:

Toddlers - Yes, they are cute, but I realize now that I was habitually trying to make that phase go away.  I bought playpens and walkers, mated with fairies, whatever it took to have a relatively self-sufficient toddler that my Sim wouldn't have to feel bad about neglecting.  Now that whole phase is just gone, and I didn't even miss it.

Dishwashers - Granted this was an oddity at first and seemed strange, but in practice, its no biggie.  For ME, I would die under the mound of dirty dishes if I didn't have a dishwasher, but Sims, fortunately, don't have that big an problem with hand-washing dishes.  Of course, the ability to just drag the plates to the trash can yourself makes the whole issue a moot point anyway...
TIP:  Grab the $1200 trash can as soon as you can.  You get back $$ every time your Sim uses it.  In the long run, it pays for itself and then some.

Open World - This too seemed like a huge step backward, but in reality, it's actually a plus.  I hated the fact that I always felt like I had to find a house or lot for my Sims, somewhat close to the town center due to travel time to everywhere.  Now, that really doesn't matter.  Everywhere is 15 seconds away with no Sim-time loss.  I've only played on one lot so far, but it seems to have a nice "public" area around it where Sims pass by or gather to chat all the time so it has the feel of the open world without the hassle of traversing a big open world.

Following to Work - I was so excited by the ability to follow my Sim to work and influence their day.  Well, the fact is, most of my Sims were either self-sufficient through other means, or had a job in a rabbit hole.  Turns out, it's not all that exciting to shift your screen view to the outside of a rabbit hole and listen to the ambient sounds within for 8 Sim hours.  I still have the ability to influence their activities at work, and bring them home early if the day is going too badly; but now, if it's just a solo Sim, the work day is over in a few real-time seconds, and I can go on about the business of playing the game.

Things I Really Like

Babies - Okay, in essence the baby has become an object like it was in the original Sims.  It just lays in the bassinet until its needs are tanked and then a responsible adults shows up to feed/change/cuddle/sing until the baby "goes off" again in a few Sim hours.  After 3 days of this routine, the baby grows up.  I didn't realize what a nice simple system this really was.  And I welcome it back.  There is even the option to grow the baby up early if you don't want to play the "baby game". 

Relief From Skilling - I don't know how to explain this one well... but I always felt a pressure to have my kids "skilling" the entire time they were not at school or doing their homework.  I needed them to have high skills to get scholarships to get good jobs, etc... being a Sim kid in my game was not a lot of fun.  With the new Aspiration system (which doesn't feel anything like the Sims 2 aspiration system to me), I feel like there is more room in my kids' lives to have fun.  It is now important for my kid to develop motor skills (on the monkey bars) and creativity (at the activity table) and less about playing chess or reading logic books.

Game Flow - I miss basic story progression, and I really miss the modified version of story progression I had as an add-on mod, but I really do love how the game plays with no lag, no jumps, is quick to load and quick to shut down.  By the time I got my Sims 3 (with all 11 expansion packs and every stuff pack and half the store stuff, and a few custom creations to boot) all loaded up, half the time I didn't have much time left to play. For now, until I overbloat this one, it's nice to be able to sit down for "quick game of Sims" (yeah, like that's ever really going to happen).

Dresser/Mirror - One pleasant surprise I discovered when I took my Sim to the dresser for new clothes, is that once in CAS, you have access to both clothes and hair, AND the rest of the family!  I accidently clicked on the dresser while my child Sim was active, but had meant to take Dad to the dresser.  I found that the whole family was pictured in the lower left corner and by click on Dad's picture, I could now change HIS clothes and hair as well.  And Mom's.  So, one trip to the dresser and all three family members got new clothes and new hairstyles.  THAT was convenient!

FINAL COMMENTS
Two things that seem to come up in almost everyone's first descriptions of the game are the camera controls and rotating objects.  By now, we've all figured out the object rotation (, and .) and are getting a handle on the camera controls.   I didn't have any issue with the object rotation because I've always done it that way -- using the keyboard shortcuts -- but the camera controls were another matter.  I still struggle with it somewhat, but I find that with time, muscle memory gets developed and this camera activity is become almost as second-nature as Sims 3 became.  As I recall, I had a tough time getting used to that too.

One final "irritation" that I will have to overcome is the fact that the queue is down in the corner where the portrait icons used to be.  More than once, I have accidentally cancelled an interaction activity because I meant to click the other Sims portrait to change focus.  Overall, I really do like the new interface, but I do make muscle memory mistakes when I'm not paying close attention.

And the biggest "return" for me was the storytelling.  I love story telling and felt that I lost that with Sims 3.  I had some fabulous stories in Sims 2 and loved taking pictures and writing the accompanying storyline.  The Sims 3 "scrapbook" was a total failure in my world and I am MOST pleased to have this feature restored.

In summary, if you get this game because you love Sims 3 (or 2 or 1), be prepared for a little bit of an uphill struggle to "love it", but it will come... it's a great game, and Maxis has hooked me again.

Oh I didn't know about this either. Where do I go to do that delete at 200 option? Maybe I didn't see it. I'll look again.

I'm not really loving how it is so hard to 'catch' a jogging neighbor to interact with them. I'm spoiled by how they used to stop for my Simmies to come to them.  :D


I had this problem, too, until I figured out an extremely simple fix. Pause the game then click on them.  ;)

Hi all, I just bought the game yesterday and I've had ~5 hrs playtime.  So far, I'm loving it.  It is totally reminiscent of TS2 except I like that I have a small neighbourhood so my sims can visit neighbours.  The emotions and sim interactions are really nice and varied.  I am still very much hardwired for TS2 as well as TS3.  I have no problem switching.  I go to TS2 when I am completely overwhelmed and frustrated with the challenges/glitches of TS3 - a total love/hate relationship.  So I am at ease with this new platform.  It took no time at all to figure the workings.  The only thing I had a hard time with is figuring out how to go somewhere.  m=map.  If there is another way I haven't found it yet.  I prefer this method actually, because in TS3 I loved to use the Motive Mobile but it took forever to cross town.  With the new format time is not lost traveling. 

The loading time is incredibly fast.  I'd have liked to see a different colour background on the loading screen - the white is stark and hard on the eyes.   The graphics look wonderful and the game is running fluidly.  I'm very impressed so far.

On the negative side, I think it takes too much time to build relationships, but oh well.  I hardly ever listen to the stereo because the speed is matched to the game speed.  In TS3 if I had a sim exercising, I could run the game at speed 3 but still listen to the stereo at a normal rate.  One could hum along.  I miss the reward points to gain steel bladder, hardly hungry, etc.  Way to much time wasted with daily ablutions.  I don't even know if these types of options are available and if so how do you earn them?  Also, the sims can't eat the produce they harvest/grow.  Very disappointing to me as I very much dislike cooking and my sim spends half his day in the kitchen.  Yuck.  I also miss being able to create patterns and colours in CAS for clothes and household things.  The work rabbit hole thing is also a bit of a loss from TS3.  I enjoyed some of the jobs that you could actually participate in.

On the whole, I'm appreciative of the old format, and hope that the game challenges/glitches will be significantly less if not all but eradicated as was TS2. 

I also believe that with the future expansion packs all kinds of wonderful things will be added, hopefully pools and toddlers (I hear a lot of chatter about those 2 things in particular).  Here's to the future of the Sims!

Pools are confirmed as a free download due out sometime next month.

The Sims still have whims, like wishes from the third game, that you can use to earn these rewards.  There is a tab at the bottom of the screen that you can use to buy the rewards.  It is the first tab on the left, called aspirations tab.  From here you can click the button that looks like a present to visit the rewards store.

Hi ClayMask,  I did finally find the rewards, thanks.  A couple of other things...I like coming back to my houses to find my sims where I left them.  I never used story progression, so I'm glad it's not there, but I can see where many would miss that.  I've found the two hiding places, and I hope to see more of that in the future.  A nice touch and fun.

I did use the cheats on one sim, just to see how they worked, but I can't find the MoveObjects for building and I'm missing that one terribly.  Also, I miss that I can't use my up arrow to bring back the most current command I'd last typed or the copy/paste to enter commands.  This having to type TestingCheats true/false constantly is awful.  The biggest cheat I'd like to use is Make Happy, mostly because I dislike cooking so much.  Such a time waster in my mind.  But taking the time to type those 3 commands every time is also a time waster.  Where's the maxmotive command TS2, copy/paste and execute.

I also really dislike that the sims can't eat the produce they grow.  I think that singularly made TS3 for me.  No cooking and none of my sims were ever hungry.

Better Performance at the Cost of 99% of Sims Functions and Items

That being said, since we are all on this post, I know we will continue to play this game since most of us have been "Sims" addicts for 15 years.

I understand why they did it this way. They made the game run quickly and smoothly.

BUT we lost 95% of it's functionality. The author of the ABC article put it best, "I couldn't even buy a dishwasher."

So, yes, I am extremely disappointed with the Sims 4 and with EA, but I will still be playing it.... call me crazy!  ;)

I want to follow up on my initiate bad reaction to The Sims 4. I had come from playing The Sims 3 literally hours before trying The Sims 4 for the first time, and, yes, we lost A LOT of functionality, but, honestly, I wouldn't ever choose to go back to Sims 3.

I really love Sims 4 so much more now. Like most new things, it took some time to get used to and to be able to fully appreciate the changes.

It is so much faster and really does have a lot of functionality. Most importantly, I feel that game play is more rewarding. I love that there is not one Lifetime Wish, set in gold, and, once you accomplish that, there's nothing more. The many aspirations make playing the same character very entertaining, even as I have aging disabled!

So, to sum up, I am very pleased with The Sims 4 and can't wait to see what they release for it next.

I didn't like The Sims 4. It was dull. Nothing to do, even for a base game. I hated the emotions. I especially hate no toddlers

When I finally caved in and bought the Sims 4 I wasn't the slightest bit disappointed, I got it right after the pools and ghosts update which was even more exciting :D I do miss toddlers but honestly there are that many new things to explore in the game in the meantime. I do hope they will eventually be added in an expansion pack but I have faith that whatever they release will be fun and good, I love my sims emotions and little quirks about their personalities. I thought that not having create a style would kill me, but there are enough matching objects and recolours in the game to keep me happy, it sort of has a Sims 2 feel to it, but is so advanced at the same time. Build/Buy mode is just absolutely amazing and I have had more fun building houses than on any previous game ever, AND THE ROUNDED BALCONIES THOUGH. :'D :D

I'd give it a 3.5/5.
There's definitely room for improvement, but overall, I like the fact that it presents the player with an altogether different set of challenges. Also... Its my goal in game to kill a sim by laughter. :D Best way to die, in my opinion.

In the many hours that I played when I got it, I created and played two different families. Both had two - three people, and they honestly weren't that hard to manage.

The first family I bought an empty lot, cheated some money and attempted to put together a house with the pre-built rooms. It was a bit horrid until I realised exactly how to turn things around. Building relationships isn't that hard at all, I found. Also, it doesn't seem to matter how high your friendship is when you make sims romantic. All that matters is the romance bar as to if you can get married or not - I think.

The second family was just as easy to build relationships - and this game I also played long enough to send them off to work. The way you change their work metric is click on the little icon in the lower portion of their greyed-out portrait. From there you have options to work harder, socialise but drop your work metric, build the main skill but drop your work metric, or work normally. There are others that change depending on your career. For my one female sim in the secret agent career, she had the occasional option to schmooze her boss which increased work performance but could possibly give an embarrassed moodlet.

The second family also had a pair of twins - is it just me, or is the twin nooboo rate higher in TS4? Anyways, the mother was absolutely exhausted so she got up, started labour and went back to sleep. When the labour moodlet cancelled, she woke up again, and had her twins. When everyone went to work, the twins disappeared off to daycare, so I didn't have to leave someone at home from work. When one person returned from work, the twins reappeared.

In the end, I hate how few hairs there actually are. There's a nice variety of outfits - especially with the multitudes of colours - but hairs? Not really. I don't overly miss the create a style other than the ability to individualize my sims. I wish there was custom eye colours, and more skin tones though. Camera controls are weird and aggravating to work, and the set-up of build/buy mode is weird, but cool. I love the variety of skills - although the fact that there's two cooking skills is odd. Skills also build rather quickly. The job goals are nice, and give your sim something to do while at home.

I like the variety of traits, and the emotions system is interesting. Some of the stuff you get from the deluxe TS4 adds a permanent moodlet as long as you're using that outfit/item. I do miss story progression, although with something like an immortal dynasty or a legacy, you can have every member of your family marry a different townie sim.

I adore the fact that I can have my sim cooking, and as long as another sim is in the living room/computer area past the counters, they can talk constantly. I do believe that the multi-tasking system is a part that I thoroughly enjoy. I do miss the open world of TS3, but I also understand why they didn't integrate it. I love the fact that the sims of both towns end up wherever you go, so they're constantly running around everywhere.
In the end, I enjoy more that I don't of TS4 >^-^<

Note: I read a few online articles not that long ago, and from the time they started concept building on TS4 (2003?) to about 2008 I think it was, TS4 was going to be an online multiplayer game much like SimCity. They then scrapped most if not absolutely everything at that point and started again. From there it was built up to be the single player game that it is.

I haven't been on the threads for months, but I got The Sims 4 for Christmas, so I've finally been able to test it out. First impression: I don't like it as much as Sims 3.

I do like:
Emotions and aspirations - I think they give a cool new touch, and because I liked to play Sims 3 by what the Sims were wishing for, this has just added a great element to my playing.
New building tools - makes it heaps easier.

I don't like:
No editing colours in CAS - this sucks big time. I loved Sims 3 because everything was customisable. When I opened Sims 4, I instantly wanted to close it because that was a bad choice to take it out.
No toddlers - again, raising babies and toddlers was one of my favourite things, and now they just don't exist.
No open world - I loved to see my Sims running around everywhere. Now it feels more game-like than virtual-reality-like.
Tiny maps - I want lots of choice of where to live and build, but it's just not there.

So overall, I'm okay with it, but largely disappointed. I'm hoping playing a bit more and continuously reminding myself that this is a completely different game will help that (as well as the upcoming tournament!).

I'm enjoying it so far. I'm really into CAS and build mode, so the upgrades in those area are really fun for me. Gameplay seems to be doing pretty well. I'm really enjoying the new emotions and such. I'm a little sad about the lack of open world and having to load between locations, I'm hoping they fix that and we'll have better world access. I'm finding it easier to play in general. I don't know if it's easier to meet goals or if I'm a better player now, but I would grind away and never seem to make much progress and in 24 hours of gameplay I've completed one aspiration and I've started #2 for my primary Sim.

I haven't bought Sims 4, these are just my first impressions from having played the free trial. According to Origin I played 24 hours out of the 48, enough to get a first impression I would say.

I started writing my thoughts down and stuff just kept pouring out so this is long and could have been much longer to be truthful, if you don't want to read it all there's a conclusion at the end, if you do read it all then yay! and thank you  ;D



Okay starting at the beginning.

Loading into the game is very quick, which is a plus, having a big advert for Outdoor Retreat on it is not so great but it's quickly bypassed.

CAS

I already tried the CAS demo when that came out so I loaded two of the sims I had made back then (Sims 4 versions of my avatar pair) tweaked them slightly then carried on.

The push pull manipulation is fun but the limits on some parts frustrate me, I would like to be able to alter the forehead size but have never found a way to do so without altering the length of the face area as a whole.

Some of the clothing is nice, I was disappointed when they removed CAST and went back to presets, I didn't mind them in Sims 2 but now I'd had a taste of that creative freedom I missed it a lot, I have a thing about co-ordination and not being able to bugs me, same goes for in build mode.

I hate the hair, have done since the first moment I saw it and still do, I understand they went for a particular art style and that's fine but a lot of it sits so poorly on the head and the textures on them are inconsistent, some are not bad, nice and smooth and a good shine, others are grainy and smudged. Of course this is my own opinion of it and as my boyfriend says I am obsessed when it comes to hair but it was my profession for over 20 years so that might be part of it.

This is another reason for me wanting a way to manipulate foreheads, If that could be lowered some of those hairs might look better situated instead of being too high in relation to where a natural hairline would start. Or alternatively the ability to raise or lower the whole hair within a small range.

It's nice to be able to manipulate body shapes now as well, you can make unique looking sims but unfortunately the facial animations, all the eyebrow waggling and grins, end up making them look rather similar in the end. When they stand still though they look quite good.

Worlds

I knew what to expect here, seen enough pictures and videos of them, they are small but I felt less enclosed than sims 2 because of the open space around the houses although I still prefer totally open worlds, a compromise of open neighbourhoods might have been nice seeing as there are only five lots per area.

The overall art style of this game is nicely consistent but I'm not a big fan of it, of the two worlds I preferred Oasis Springs visually, Willow Creek is very oversaturated, I went to the hidden lot and it reminded me of the old Nintendo games I used to play on my SNES years ago with its bright gaudy colours.

While the sims has never been a super realistic looking game it always had the balance right so you could make it more or less cartoony if you wished, not so sure about Sims 4 when it comes to that, those super realistic CC sims must stick out like sore thumbs here whereas in the previous games no matter how cartoony the sims were the world was realistic enough for them to be altered with CC and not look too out of place.

Texture detail is hit and miss, there isn't much texture on some things, a low poly mesh can be made to look much better just by texturing alone, it doesn't have to be a super high resolution thing but detailing makes a lot of difference so does bump mapping and specular, once again a lot of this is down to the art style but I found many textures flat and bland, woods don't look much like wood but instead remind me of plastic wood as seen on childrens toys, and the grass is almost a flood fill of green with very little detail on it at all. As someone who has dabbled in this sort of thing over the years I find it a little disappointing but overall it looks consistent together so I was easily able to live with it.

Loading Screens are a bit of an issue, not because they exist although that is disappointing in itself, they are far too bright and as somebody who is prone to migraines they can became a real hassle, I closed my eyes if I had to travel but even so they came up so fast I wasn't always quick enough, the green plumbob in the middle isn't that bad, I rather liked the animated texture on it but the white background needs toning down, ironically the white textures on everything else look grey even a white cake my sim made looked a really unappetizing grey colour but the loading screens are dazzling white.

The overall idea of connected worlds is a good one I feel, kind of like the sub hoods of Sims 2, that has potential, just a shame that each world is so small and with so few lots available, I didn't visit every community lot but I went to a few, I got the bartender glitch so that was annoying but I was forewarned about it and almost expected it, other than one of my sims getting stuck in a constant 'use the toilet, wash hands, use the toilet' loop for a while I had no other bugs.

Build Mode

I poked about in this, the styled rooms are a nice idea, the picking up rooms and the whole house is good, so is the roof tool, I did not do an awful lot in it so can't really comment too much.

Gameplay

If I had to describe my gameplay style then I would class it as hopeless romantic/family oriented on the whole, ever since I first played Sims 2 I have generally started with a single female sim who's main goal in life has been to find her soulmate, get married and start a family. Playing dynasties suits me a lot as each generation is doing exactly what I like to do, just with added goals in between the romance.

As such I wanted to test how my usual gameplay would work in Sims 4 so taking my avatar pair, who have finished two dynasties for me in Sims 3 and who I class as true soulmates, I put them in a house together and with free will on high watched it unfold.

I picked what traits I could that they have in Sims 3 so Dallas was still evil, romantic( flirty), and I chose self assured for the third as there is no more kleptos, and great kisser I saw is now a reward, Tracey was a bookworm, clumsy and family oriented as there is only romantic and not a hopeless one, both had the soulmate aspiration. I would have loved more traits, at least 5 as in Sims 3, it seems very limited to me but then I found they didn't seem to actually matter that much when I started playing, as they are ruled by their emotions now more than their traits.

Emotions seem very unstable to me, they change too fast, just as I'm about to fulfill a whim related to it it's changed and gone, also the whims were very vague and repetitive, my sims spent a lot of time feeling flirty as I was trying to fulfill the aspiration and so they had a lot of whims related to that but before they would have been a little more specific than kiss 'someone', hug 'someone', woohoo with 'someone' it seems anybody will do doesn't really matter, before it would have been kiss their partner etc, there were a few of those but very few.

Some of the romantic socials animations are nice, the look deeply into eyes one was quite sweet, some I felt seemed rather chaste and a little too fast like the embrace, it was grab, hug, let go. I didn't feel the love but that may just be me. Also their lips rarely met during kisses unless they pulled a duck face, then they almost did.

I didn't bother getting them jobs, I didn't want them out of the house for hours at a time, I was more interested in testing out the social aspects of family play than careers, they talk a lot, all the time, multitasking to me seemed mostly talking while doing something, or rather stopping to talk then resuming instead of concurrently doing both actions. Is it just me or do showers take forever? a lot of actions seem to take a long time to do and there was a fair bit of just standing about before doing the queued action as well like the AI was lagging although the game never did.

I eventually got them married and they had a baby, the pregnancy was good, I like the fact all clothes work, she got huge though which looked a bit over the top, I bought a bassinet for the baby so I could place it myself she went into that room to give birth and surprisingly Dallas came in too and stood there waiting, as soon as she put the baby down he picked it up and cuddled it, that was nice and spontaneous. The baby interactions are cute, the putting it back after each one is irritating, it is an object though and it felt like one particularly when my sims were gaining relationship with it's crib not the baby in their arms, they could have at least put the ++ over the baby not the bassinet.

Aging it to a child was very jarring, I missed the toddler stage a lot, kids are great but the bond that I as the player form with them as a toddler was missing, I realise now that is when they become a little person to me, a new part of my family and my sim, it was missing and I felt little connection to this child.

So now with my time running out I concentrated on the Soulmate aspiration again, I have nothing against the lifetime wishes of previous games, they have goals I pick them to suit the sim in question or just to try them out, but how I go about achieving them is my choice, this feels very scripted, they had to go on several dates because of it and I really didn't enjoy being told to 'socialize 10 times, flirt 5 times, sit down and talk' and so on, it's just not how I play, for me these checklists are taking away from my freedom to roleplay their date the way I want to. I guess under other circumstances you can ignore them but as I had an aspiration goal of getting a particular medal I had little choice.

At the end they gained two spouse specific socials, offer emotional support and share burdens, my sims got some satisfaction points out of it but can't say that I did.

Conclusion

It's okay, but that's about it for me, I did not find it as engaging as the last two games, I actually felt I was forcing myself to play because I had limited time to do so, I did not enjoy the scripted linear play of it, I like to do things my own way even if it's not the way another player would do it, getting to the goal by many paths is preferable to me than only having one. I can't see the replayabilty factor of it, it will get old fast having to do the same thing over and over.

I'm very glad I had the chance to try it for myself and draw my own conclusions, it did not change my mind though, this game as it stands right now is just not for me.

OK, original impression from early reviews was that the game wasn't very good. Then I figured I was basing that on just a small amount of info so I came here to see what you guys think about it. I don't trust Amazon reviews since I don't know if they've actually played it. After reading here I change my mind. I believed it was a good game and I should treat it as a stand alone game and remember it's a vanilla game and doesn't have umpteen add on packs like Sims 3. So I decided to what and maybe get it when there are some good start up packs with EPs. After reading about then first planned EP I planned on waiting for that to come out and read the reviews here. The detective career looks really cool but I wanted to make sure it wasn't too repetitive or anything.

So Saturday I was playing with Sims 3 and it locked up. I lost about 4 Sim days. Usually I save more often but I was lazy. Normally I wouldn't mind too much. However, during those 4 days my Sims had a baby that had aged up to a tot and was starting to learn to walk and stuff. I had no desire to do that again. So in a fit or frustration, must of had the Angry Emotion, I decided to give up and buy Sims 4. I didn't get Outdoor Retreat, just the base game. After playing it most of the weekend I've come to like it.

I'm fine with no open world. With Ultra graphic settings the load times are pretty short. I can still walk around the area where I'm at far enough. The only thing that surprised me was when my Sim was in the night club and went next door to the gym I got a load screen. Not a big deal, just wasn't expecting it. I was playing a single male Sim that was going to join the athlete career. Looking at the Sims in the game I was considering the Caliente sisters as possible partners. I want to have a family to see how it is in this game. From what I saw in the forum, Dina had the better personality but I preferred Nina's appearance. Dina still looks good and doesn't have any bad traits while Nina has 2 traits that don't really go with my Sim, who has Active, Family Oriented and Loves the Outdoors. So I figured I'd play and see how it goes. He hit it off really well with the one he met first and they had a date where they met all of the goals. So he decided on her and eventually asked her to move in. Which one? Katrina, of course! Only 1 "bad" trait. Hot headed can be difficult to deal with but not too bad. So even though both Nina and Dina missed out on a great guy at least the got another sister out of it. I do miss toddlers but I was happy to see that babies in Sims 4 are kind of a mix between babies and toddlers of Sims 3. I was glad to have more options for the baby to use.

Comedian career
Extra work out options such as push ups and sit ups
Punching bag
More recipes to cook
Separate gourmet skill
Aspiration and whims
Not getting promoted as quickly
Daily requirements for jobs
Emotions

That's all I can think of at the moment. Comedian and Athlete are the only 2 careers so far.

Thinks I don't like:
Eating takes to long
Having my Sims not do what I tell them cause they're in a conversation and with multitasking it doesn't always stop the conversation.
Having the Sim I'm talking to follow mine into the bathroom when the go to use the toilet.


Those are minor complaints. The main one is the fact that Nina and Dina are always coming over. At least one of them shows up every day. Some times they'll stay for a while, leave and be back over a couple hours later. I have made use of it by having Katrina perform comedy routines when they're over, but it's still annoying. At least there's on door bell.

So as of now I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
