How many sims do you usually play?

When I'm playing the Sims 3, I get bored of just one or two sims.
I generally fill up my whole house with kids!

I was wondering what everyone else's households usually contain?

I usually start with 2 then fill with baby's as quickly as I can

Sometimes I like to have 4-6 YA or Adult sims so I keep my self busy and there are people to take care of the babies! [Plus more drama if one doesn't like the other, teehee]

Same here.  I tend to get bored with just a couple of sims and depending on what I am doing, I usually now like to have lots of kids.  I have an old family that they had ten kids of their own and the male sim was busy in the neighborhood, so there were about 4 other kids and now grand and great grandkids.

I seem to have a tendency to only play one Sim at a time, but that's the most boring way to play by far.  I just like the idea of having one "main" character, I guess. 

The game seemed to be the most fun when I had a house full of seven Sims.   I definitely never had to speed up time!

It depends on what I'm doing. If I want to work through a skill or a profession I play one,single Sim until they are well on their way. Sometimes I want them to just "run amok" to see what they will do. If that's the case I'll make a houseful of YA Sims. It's quite unusual for me to go into CAS and create a traditional family. I rarely raise little Sims either.

Most of the time I start with one or two sims, get them going on a job, get some skill points and start moving towards a lifetime wish, then I fill the house with kids. Lots of kids! I have yet to get past the beginning of generation three though...

Personally the number of sims I play varies according to my mood; sometimes I play one sim with the aging off and try to make them the best that they can be, and sometimes I play in a legacy-style with large families across generations. I find though that if I have more than five or six sims the generation can end up a little rushed, so I try to keep families around the four-to-five mark.

I pretty much only play my one family, through the generations. I usually have 6-8 sims in the family at one time. Right now there is 6.

I think three sims in the house is best, that way one can sleep and one can skill while I actively play the third one. I won't let a family have more than two kids unless both parents are family-oriented.

About 1-4 young adults to start with. My game cannot support children in the town for some reason without glitching badly so never anyone under YA.

I usually play families of 3 starting people, then they get married, have children, etc. so the number increases. I don't like playing very big families though, because I start cheating
