Game stops responding when saving

Hi guys,
so I'm having problems with The Sims ever since I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows 7 and reinstall all of my the sims games, I have the base game, all the expansion packs and stuff packs, 986MB of custom content and five Nraas mods. I managed succesfully fix the issues of game crashing right after or a few minutes after loading, if on live mode, and game crashing after being minimized to desktop. Now it plays fine, the problem is the game stops responding when saving,  after the screen turns black the little cursor thing just spins forever and I must ctrl+alt+del and end the TS3W.exe process. The game actually gets saved so it isn't as much of a problem but it's annoying. Sometimes in addition to this problem all in game sound and music stops, or a section of the music starts repeating itself forever, like a scratched cd sometimes does when trying to listen to it, and it doesn't stop even when minimizing the game.

This sounds very familiar to me, as it use to happen to me frequently. Try installing the super patch.

The other thing it may be is playing the game for long periods of time. I used to do that too and still do from time to time. The only thing that helps is to not play as long. What works for me is play about an hour or 2 at most, save as and get out of the game, restart the computer to help it refresh itself and then get back into the game if you wish.
