Mod help (PC)

I've installed the free RAR Extract frog and the resource cfg files and I have the override and package folders with NoBuildSparkles.package, and nointro.package mods in. Both mods work on my PC but when I extract other mods in, they don't show up in my game.

Am I doing something wrong?

My first thought is to be sure that the new mods are being extracted into the Packages subfolder.  My second thought is to be sure that they are *.package files that you are putting there.  If they are *.sims3pack files, they go into the Downloads folder.  I've had problems with both of those things in the past, usually giving myself a mental DUH slap because I knew better but still did it wrong.
