Bizzar game crashing

If I take my sims to the future I can run for hours, if I send them home it crashes 30 mins. I've lowered the graphics, changed the screen which was working for a while. Now I can't get through 2 sim days without crashing. I'm dieing to get more scuba points but cant do that while it crashes. Sick of worrying about sharks lol.  Anyone got any other suggestions? I've also cancelled some of the process not related to the computer full reboot the computer. I notice if I don't play for a few hrs or day I can play longer. My computer meets all the requirements.

What type of crashing are we talking about? Game freeze? "Sims 3 has stopped working"? Something else?

Also, saying your computer meets the requirements doesn't help much, since the game likes to eat processing power for breakfast, lunch and dinner. What exactly are your computers specs and what EP's/SP's are you using? Running any mods or CC at all?

1.  "Sims 3 has stopped working"
2. All EP and town life SP. I avoid CC stuff I have been playing in a world that I found on here "Sunset Valley 2013"
3. I'm running an intel I5 quad processor each running 2.50 Ghz 500 Gb HD with 8 GB out of 16GB Ram, graphics card I already know its not suggested but EA said its do able Intel graphics HD 4000.

I'm considering on seeing if I can run it off my external hard drive and play off the other computer with got a better processor and made for gaming. This computer was running the games fine until supernatural and season came out then it started acting up I removed supernatural for a while and that seem to fix it but I installed all EP's and would go through periodic crashes.

Hmmmm... That sounds more like a windows issue than a game issue... though mine did that last night when I told it to exit (dual core i5 in this laptop).

If the graphics card were an issue, you'd experience graphical issues in game. At the moment, I'd say it's more likely a bug with moving from one world (Into The Future) to another (Sunset Valley). Do you have an earlier save from before going to the future?

I had no issue before leaving for the future I went  one prior time before then I took 2 other sims the next time went back to the past and it started. I have issue in CAS but if Im quick sometimes I can create a new one. I can spend hours building and nothing goes wrong.

Hmmm. Okay... slightly crazy idea, but let's see if it works.

Rename your "The Sims 3" folder under Documents\Electronic Arts. Just call it something like "The Sims 3 (Backup)". Launch your game so it has to generate new files.

Once you've done that, set the game up how you like in options and see if it plays alright on the normal worlds. If it's all working ok, copy the downloaded world and your save (only these) from your old folder to the new. See if that does the job.

If the game plays fine before copying the save over, but doesn't AFTER copying it... you may have a corrupt save. If the save file continues to play fine, you probably just had a corrupt cache file or something.

Ok renamed the file, noticed that there were two EA folders opened one it have SIM 3 and Sims 3 CAW and Sims 4 Demo. I chose the one with Sims3 only and changed it since the date last opened was 7/23 and newer. Although I just discovered that the one with the 3 files has a Sims3 file dated today so Im wondering if its going back and forth between the two.

I deleted the file that was just Sims3 that I was talking about and removed the 4 cache pkgs. seems to be working fine ran for about 4 hrs last night. Fingers crossed it will still stay working.
